You and your friends have volunteered yourselves for a group experiment based on teamwork. Sure, the scientist running the experiment seems a little absent-minded and may even forget his own name at times, but you're all still excited to see what's in store if you complete his crazy puzzles in time. You and your assigned team must find ways to work together efficiently and solve several colorful puzzles across many different areas. Good communication is as important as any key you come across!

What made this room special is the amount of collaboration needed between the 3 groups. The set is fine, the puzzles are good, but wow, they do a great job of making you work together! I would recommend solely based off of that and the clean puzzle flow. You’ll need a good game master to help keep everyone on track too.

Another absolute banger from Escape Hour - This room is best for larger groups and requires strong communication and trust if you want to escape. We experienced this game with 6 people and that felt like it was the perfect amount, however, I can see much larger groups participating in this room and still enjoying themselves. Puzzles are solid, and the environment is immersive.
Somewhat
You can choose to move about the room, but it's not necessary.

This game plays well with a larger group, even of experienced players. It’s old school fun and makes the typical split cell mechanic feel fresh.

This is a nice big room where you have to have a larger group. I'm used to being able to do rooms with just 2 people, but this one needs at *least* 3, and I'd recommend 6. There's three areas, so it's good to have 2 in each. It's an older room, but is very cool.
The game was showing its age at parts.

Great theme, and the way you had to communicate with the other rooms and work together was neat.
Not much of a story, but it's okay.

Legit can't be done with just 2 or solo. 3 would be challenging. I think 6 is good because it means you have two in each section during the whole game.

They're in a business park, and you have to drive through it to get there. Use a map software to help.

One of the older rooms at Escape Hour but still fun and not everything was locks. You can see wear and tear in area and of course some tech were broken but nothing that affected the gameplay. It was fun! You’re separated into different rooms and have to Learn to communicate effectively while solving your own puzzles. Minimal required number of people is 6 for a reason. There is a lot to do and we need help in some areas. But my group was able to complete it and it was exciting! Some of us want to do it again!
Definitely an older room, you can see wear and tear in some area but the equipment still works well

Great for groups. Puzzles can definitely be kid friendly

This room is only going to be open a few more months before they replace / revamp it. It is challenging for sure and you need not just a great team but more like you need 3 strong teams since the “separate room/team” is basically the entire time and not just “at the beginning” like most rooms. I really enjoyed it overall because it was “different” and “challenging” in a way that most rooms I’ve seen have been. Escape Hour is now my favorite place in Austin that is local only (non- chain US wide) so if you’re reading this and either a local or travel escape enthusiast, make sure you put Escape Hour at the top of your Austin to-do list!!
Unique having 3 phases of the room(a) where you only focus on certain puzzles per phase. Super important of having strong puzzle solvers in each room as they limit you a bit from running from room to room. Unique and challenging.
Decent. Not the strongest set design as far as theme but it gets the job done. Little annoying it plays music on a speaker that made it hard to hear videos/clues.
Staff was friendly, understanding and helpful. Especially when multiple clues were needed by different rooms they did well to juggle and address each timely. Will say there were a few clues that were more cryptic than they needed to be but in hindsight was a good thing since it was more of a “nudge” in the right direction than a full on “here’s how you solve it”.
Yes
Breaking into 3 separate groups and limiting the mobility was both cool and challenging and mildly frustrating but overall it is really what makes the room different and unique.
This part was weak but it’s not a big deal. Just don’t expect a super immersive story and experience
Expert
Very challenging since you are having to attack 3 rooms at the same time and work together to give each other the right tools, pieces or verbal info needed. Bring a smart group of at least 7-10 people and communication is SO key.

We had 7 and succeeded. But it felt like having 3 per room would have been ideal.
Not scary
Zero scares in this one.

There was a couple of fairly dexterity based reaction puzzles. You can’t win unless you are quick if hand on the final puzzle.
No major issues but one room definitely had some things a standing person only can do
