The Cookhouse

The set was really cool! I definitely did get some of the horror movie vibes that others have mentioned, but I don’t agree with it being graphic/gorey. There was just a little bit of the gore factor, but barely anything. It was well put together, and a bit on the smaller side for the 13th Hour rooms, but still multiple rooms within itself. Overall it was a really fun, easy room. 2 experienced players and 2 non-experienced players and we got out in just under 40 minutes. I’d recommend this room for a group of 2-4. One complaint: at 13th Hour a lot of noise can be heard from others in the rooms next to yours. So, it can be distracting. You’ll also hear their hint sound go off and run to your hint board thinking it’s yours only to find nothing 😅

Another great room from the 13th hour company. Loved the set as always from here and the story was pretty spooky! Im not one for gore which made a clue or two a little harder for me but my partner had no problems. Only complaint is all the rooms need more A/C honestly might come with a fan next time LOL but overall another hit from 13th hour

Another really good room from 13th hour. It is on the smaller and easier side. Played with 6 experienced players. Felt a little cramped at times and managed to escape in a little under 40 minutes. We played when their haunted house was open for Valentine’s Day so they had live actor GMs in the escape room. It makes the experience pretty unique and such fun. They will occasionally come in and give you nudges/hints in character, so might not be for people who like to play without getting help.

I genuinely enjoyed this room! Very spooky vibes, almost like you’re placed in the middle of a horror movie. I enjoyed how the story of the room unfolded! The sets are awesome (as always) and made logical sense. Another 13th Hour hit.

By far the best escape rooms me and my group have ever done. Some of us have done over 100 rooms and 13th Hour has The best escape rooms on the east coast!

This game had a Texas Chain Saw vibe to it and if you like some gore with your escape room, this is the one to do. The puzzles are brilliant. 13th Hour is my favorite place to escape. Highly recommend!!

Great set as always here! Went with the overall places story and was quite the shocker in some props used (which I love!) This room was a great room if you like to do a lot of the searching side to escape rooms.

A very solid addition to their line up! Not my favorite as it got a bit too graphic for my liking at one point later on in the game but aside from that, another great game!

The Cookhouse has more of the spooky and funny puzzles you can expect from 13th hour which has created an entire horror-themed collection of escape rooms tied to the narrative of the murderous John Hayden family. These non-linear games take advantage of the warehouse-sized space. The ending in this room was especially memorable. We got to enjoy having actors in the room during REA Escape Immerse Explore 1-day tour. They were funny spooky not scary so ask if available as their presence really adds to the experience.
