As a third generation Sheriff now employed by the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department, you have been receiving numerous calls about recent Mothman sightings. It all comes back to you, the tales your grandfather told during your childhood about the elusive Mothman case. As you make your way to the cold case file room, you find your grandfather’s office, untouched since he worked the case in 1967. You need to convince the town that the Mothman is back again and find proof of his existence before another deadly disaster happens on your watch!

I thought the room was a little bland when I first walked in but the decoration just got better and better as we progressed. I really enjoyed the flow of the room and the originality of the hometown monster “MothMan.” Our GM was great and we didn’t really get stuck on more than one or two puzzles for very long

The puzzles were all lots of fun and it flowed really well. The room seemed to just get better and better.

GM was great! We had Austin and he was very good at giving nudges and small hints when we needed it without just telling us how to do it like some GMs do

The story wasn’t super captivating, but the decoration added to the story and theme of mothman and it was good

I would say it’s closer to the easy side but there were one or two puzzles that I would say makes it constitute as medium difficulty

I was pleasantly surprised in this room. There is a skill based puzzle toward the end that you will need a steady hand to complete. The atmosphere was really good. Run this room!

I loved the originality of this room. It’s in a facility that offers two escape rooms, in addition to axe throwing. The atmosphere was welcoming, the workers were all friendly and kind, and the theming of the room was unique and well-executed. This was a fun one. I enjoyed it so much that I booked their second room on the spot, and played it right after.
