Fun room! We’ve done two of their other rooms and really like this place!

My group were all pretty experienced, so I felt like I blinked and the room was over! The motion effect in the elevator portion was fun and something I’d not experienced before.

My partner and I did this room this evening and enjoyed ourselves. The staff at The Escape Artist seems incredibly kind. Our host was so friendly and helpful throughout, and very assuring when he saw us struggling with some of the more tech-heavy puzzles. The initial room is cool because it moves (that’s the big selling point for The 13th Floor), and I think that movement was exciting and novel, but didn’t really impact the gameplay all that much. The first part of the game is in a dark room and relies pretty heavily on flashlights, so having extra hands to hold lights is useful, but kind of tedious. The number of times I was fumbling with locks whilst trying to hold a flashlight was embarrassing. When we got to the second room, it was nice to have more light, but the puzzles in the room didn’t quite feed into the story in the same way the puzzles in the elevator did. There were multiple mechanical puzzles that relied more on skills than they did problem-solving. I found the ending rather anticlimactic. In summary: I liked the room. I didn’t leave disappointed. This room met expectations, and I think I’ll leave it at that.
It was neat, and the moving room was a fun touch. I do think some of the puzzles didn’t really make sense in terms of story, but they were fun to solve all the same.
The staff was very kind. The room is definitely a little tired, and some things need updating/fixing, but it was a cool vibe.
It was OKAY. Not great, but okay. I don’t think the story was very well incorporated into the room, but I did like the elevator.
Medium
Honestly, I think my team just overthought too much. A lot of the puzzles were easy as long as you didn’t think too hard about them.
Mechanical
Some Gen 2 locks, but mostly standard locks

I did it with 2, and thought it was very manageable. The first space was pretty small, so I wouldn’t push past 4.
Not scary
Maybe SOME spook, but I’m a wimp and I wasn’t frightened at all.

As a wimp, I can confidently say that this room wasn’t scary. The themes were mildly spooky, but the space itself was totally fine.

The motion might deter some attendees
Somewhat. We went in the dark, so it wasn’t EASY, but we found it (especially since there were pictures of the outside here on Morty)

It was okay. Just needs some updating.
It moves… but does that make it more fun? Some props need updating.
