Each of our escape room games will feature one chapter of a continuous story set in the Blackmore Hotel also known as the Homicide Hotel. Your experience begins in the lobby and continues as you walk through the hallways of this eerie old building. You were barely able to escape Room 303. As you were trying to find your way through the hotelβs confusing corridors you stumble across a door that takes you deeper into the heart of the hotel. Learn the dark truth as you explore the inner depths of the Blackmore Hotel. Discover the secret areas where Robert spends most of his time. Robert staged his own death when he escaped from the Sunny Pines mental facility. The police believe he is dead but only you know the truth. You have 1 hour before Robert returns to find evidence that you can turn over to police to convince them that not only is Robert not dead, he has returned to take back his hotel and claim more victims.

Amazing game! Better then the first room both in puzzles and story, cannot wait to play the third installment

Itβs oddly placed with no easy way to get to in its office complex

Continuing the story from Room 303, we were quite excited to play this room consecutively. The initial part of the room was engaging, featuring creative puzzles and captivating scenery. However, as we progressed further, the momentum quickly dropped off. The puzzles began to feel like time-consuming tasks that had little connection to the actual theme. It soon seemed as if we were playing a generic early Gen 2 room, without much consideration for the story or atmosphere. Towards the end, we reached a point where we almost forgot why we had entered the room in the first place. Additionally, the hint system audio gradually worsened as we moved through the room, making it nearly impossible to communicate with the host.

We completed this right after Room 303. I really liked how the first room looked and the puzzles at first flowed very nicely. Then came the second and third room which were just all downhill for me. Lots of tedious (obnoxious) puzzles that you had to have everything just right to workβ¦ which to me isnβt testing your intelligence or skills. I ended up brute forcing the last puzzle after we burned so much time trying to make the puzzle work over and overβ¦ we were not allowed to confirm things with our host which was a first for us- she just reiterated how to solve itβ¦ the staff were nice but not nearly as kind as some of the other companies weβve played with. I just got a weird overall vibe from our hosts (almost standoffish) and left frustrated and disappointed after completing the room with 57 seconds left on the clock.

Very good sequel to the first room! Fits the theme, clue giving method was very unique and puzzles were creative and interesting

For me⦠it was just gross. Way over the top on gruesome, gory for me. It was a good escape room otherwise.

We had a ton of fun with this room. Just as high quality as the first chapter - but dang, we finished this one pretty quick. Group of three in maybe 35 minutes. Wish there was just a bit more to do in the rooms because we really enjoyed everything that they put in the room. Definitely worth doing and I can't wait for Chapter 3! It is gory, but I feel like considering the first chapter and "serial killer" theme you should kinda be prepared for that.
Everything flowed really well and felt solid.
Very thematic and on point.
This time our GM was just okay. Less engaging, but we didn't need much help.
Extra effort put into the story and integration.

Maybe a little too easy considering we wanted more.

Another fantastic room. Just as immersive and engaging as the first room. Highly recommend.

Fun sequel to Room 303, but it lacks some of the incredible WOW moments that Chapter 1 had. One of the puzzles was a bit rough in that we knew what to do, but the way it was set up made it very difficult to get the correct answer. Also- although I like the story element of how to communicate with the game master, the volume of audio cues was far too low for the entire group to hear. Still a great game and Iβm excited for Chapter 3

Dark Heart was a solid sequel that includes many things I enjoy from 303, including a deeply integrated timer/hint system and solid variety of puzzling. It was also a bit more non-linear then it's predecessor, which was great for our group. It also used a bit of a different take on horror, which will affect people differently then the general creepyness of 303. However, I feel it failed at building stakes in the saga, and felt like a step down story wise. It also felt a little bit light on puzzling, and I felt they could have done alot more with the space they had. I highly recommend playing them back to back, as that will give you the best continuous narrative.

A fun experience that builds out the lore of the ongoing story of the Homicide Hotel, but Iβd agree with other reviews that Room 303 was a more exciting and engaging room. Dark Heartβs got some clever puzzles, but Room 303 felt more immersive and higher stakes. Looking forward to the storyβs continuation!
