The year is 1940, and the city of Chicago has shown its dark underbelly. You've been called in to help solve a case for the Noir Detective Agency. This fully black and white room will be sure to make you feel like you're walking right into the middle of a 40's film noir movie. Aided by a mysterious stranger, your detective skills will be put to the test. Will you be able to sift through the evidence, examine the suspects and nab the culprit in time? Noir consists of two episodes that each take the full hour. Both episodes are 100% unique with their own story, a different crime to solve and their own puzzles. Let your game master know which episode you are playing when you arrive!

Enjoyed Episode 1 so had to come back for 2! Same main room is used and we finally got to check out the door we couldn’t access in Episode 1. Enjoyed the puzzles in this one, feel like this one is catered more to those who have done multiple rooms in the past! Definitely check it out!

There was a bit more high tech in part 2, but it was mostly mechanical.

Continuation of episode 1. You don’t have to play episode 1 to be able to under stand the 2nd which is nice. It is it’s own storyline.

Two (soon to be three) experiences that take place in the same physical space. (An idea which fascinates me from a game design perspective.) The set was just that of an office building - desk, file cabinet, etc. But done completely in black and white, which while a small thing does wonders for the immersion. As does the 1940s soundtrack playing on the radio. You wind up feeling like you’re in a classic Film Noir. Episode 1 felt a little like it was designed for kids. The game game would direct you what to do next at each step. “Now use the clues in these pictures to eliminate two of the suspects…” All of which could be removed as far as I’m concerned and the game would still function well. That said, I’d still recommend playing it. Episode 2 did not have that “hand-holding” vibe at all though. Had a bit of a richer story and some repeat characters, which was nice. Very clever to see the same components used in different ways, as well as how they clued which things to stay away from because they were part of the other case. I will definitely be back for Episode 3.

The room is beautiful! The room is linearly easy to follow but not in a bad way. More interactive mystery than escape room

We have done close to a hundred escape rooms and Deadline is one of the best designs we have ever seen. The rooms were an entire immersive experience and we lost a few minutes in each room because we couldn't stop talking about how amazing the designs were. We did all 4 that were available and can't wait for the new one to open so we can come back!! Also, the gamemaster was perfect - he was available immediately if we asked for a clue but he didn't barge in and give us hints when we didn't need them either. The owner was super friendly and we loved hearing about how he and his wife came up with the room designs

I just love this company. We played dead silence first and then immediately signed up to play this game. Very opposite ways of thinking and puzzle solving so it was fun to play back to back. The theme may not be novel but the room totally is! Such a beautifully done room with fun puzzles.
It was fun detective style game.
Set design was amazing, high quality room with amazing detail that completely immerses you.
They are the greatest!!! I love that it’s a couple who owns it and created all the rooms, themes, puzzles, and stories together. #couplegoals

It’s one room but has two games in it!
Plot and story line were good but it’s really the room and puzzles that are rad.
Hard
This was a harder room for us because of how much you had to pay attention to details. We were stuck for the first twenty minutes and but once we realized something and solved our first clue we flowed through it faster.
High tech
Fun tech stuff for puzzles and some not, good mix but I would say more on high tech side and those were quality.
4
This is hard to say, depends on how you operate, 2 would be perfect for teams good at details and paperwork, 4 might be too much people bouncing around but I don’t think my team of three would have solved i it had only been two but we might have struggled less if it had been 4.
Not scary

Nothing scary or gruesome but I wouldn’t take too young because of how hard some of the puzzles are
