Ghost stories always seem silly, until the lights go out. Everyone has heard whispers of the once great Maycroft family, especially the story of young Susan Maycroft. Executed for practicing witchcraft, they say Susie still haunts her ancestral home, seeking vengeance on those who wronged her. You laughed when you first heard that story, but you aren't laughing now. Cursed by the Witch, you are desperate to shatter the spell before it claims your soul! Don't be afraid! After all, stories are only stories, right?

I thought this room was decent. Although I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone that has done anything less than like 20 rooms or so. The atmosphere was okay, the games were very mechanical, not a lot of tech. The majority of the puzzles were challenging. Everyone also talks about the dolls for a reason. It was still a decent room regardless.

I love a good challenge, but this wasn’t my favorite. I played with a group of very smart and experienced individuals, and we managed to escape, but with only a few minutes left. I know that part of the challenge is the complete darkness, but it was more of an annoyance. No one wants to play an escape room with one hand (because the other is always holding a damn candle). Nevertheless, the logic puzzles were cool. They definitely fit the theme. I’d say it’s worth a play if you’ve got a good group. It’s the type of escape room that’s good to have on your list as one you’ve tackled, but it’s not necessarily the most fun while playing.
