This one we had been really excited for and anxiously waiting for it to come out. The set was absolutely extraordinary and was very impressive, HOWEVER, the story was bad, none of us really knew what the point of the room was and only really knew part of the end goal. We thought it'd reveal more over time, but it didn't. Other than that puzzles were creative and a good use of space, they definitely used a couple of puzzles I hadn't seen, or hadn't seen in a while. Props to their staff, they're always very helpful and pleasant to talk to.
Gameplay
Flow was good, for the most part, there were a couple times when you had to get a certain puzzle before moving on, but other than that gameplay was really fun.
Atmosphere
Really good! What this game lacked in story and puzzles, it made up for in the set. One thing to look out for is the wind in between cars!! It really adds to the experience!

One of the newer rooms at North Valley, we were really impressed by the set design in this one - you feel like you're ON A TRAIN (mostly). There was a good variety of low tech and higher tech puzzles - I will say that I'm not sure if I got the point of the "steampunk-ness" of it. The one week point in this felt like the story. Despite the great set, it didn't necessarily feel like we were actively contributing to a story and afterwards we agreed we didn't even know what we were supposed to be there for. Also want to shout out the staff they have there - they're always amazing.

Good variety of puzzles, don't be afraid to ask for hints.

Make sure you appreciate the wind coming from between the cars!

Loved the team at North Valley Escape room are great. We wanted to do every room there, but we’re visiting from out of town. Such a great energy there.

My two person team HATED this room. The objective was never clear and you spent alot of time wondered what you were supposed to be working on. I still think that many people would like it, and I appreciate the room for it's unique puzzles and amazing set design. Those smoke and mirrors don't make up for the flawed game play through.

Whoa!!! Can we talk about the set design? From the immersive but unnecessary onboarding set to the train itself (landscape flying by, train vibrating, and you can even see the rails underneath the train!), they put so much work into the little touches. The set was quite interactive, and nearly every one of the props felt bespoke. It’s a challenging room, but it’s also a lot of fun!

The set was amazing. The puzzles were pretty good. There were some tech issues on three puzzles that slowed us up and some worn props. One set of props fell and hit me in the head. Overall, however, the good outweighed the bad.

Always enjoy North Valley Escape Room. They never let us down. Really enjoyed this room. The theme and the props in this room were on point. I really felt like we were on a train. 🚂
