Down the darkest alley, in the most nefarious part of town, a wizard going by the name of Algernon has set up a shop selling gently used magical goods. Rumors have reached the Queen’s Guard of strange comings and goings at Algernon’s- particularly late at night. After a series of stake outs the time has come, you and the other Guard are prepared for a raid on the shop. Will you uncover this wizard’s secrets in time?

This room was good not great, and a bit on the short side. The ending was anti-climatic, but the puzzles were fun.

The room decor was really top-notch. (Actually the entire facility is amazing including hallways/lobbies, etc. I completely disagree with a review I read where they stated this room is the same puzzles over and over, that's just not accurate they used varying locks, puzzles, clue finding, etc. The game master here was also awesome, full personality waited for us to ask for assistance. If you have any in your group into D&D this room has several nods to that, which made my teen boys heart sing. The only thing I will say that could have been improved is that the room has an almost serial puzzling strategy which sometime results in some standing around for groups larger than 2-3.
This was particularly impressive as the GM for our session got stuck in traffic and didn't make it until our room was over, so the GM we had was running two rooms, but had he not had told us this, we would not have known as he was very attentive.

Overall the room wasn't scary but there is a prop that might really freak out some younger ones.

9.2/10 We did this room opening day so it had some hiccups. But overall it was an interesting game. Definitely great for DND fans and a really cool ending. Some of the puzzles were repetitive and there were a lot of red herrings whether intentional or not. Overall a good experience!

I almost left the rating blank, as it’s somewhere between like and dislike. While the room itself was gorgeously themed, the puzzles are just the same type of lock over and over. There were some unique puzzles that I enjoyed but otherwise very repetitive. I will say I was there right when it first opened so it does feel unfair to be too harsh.

Algernons was the perfect mix of all aspects. It had equal amounts of high tech and mechanical puzzles, great mix of spooky and funny (especially for a chicken like me), and was really cool! There was one part/prop that made it kinda scary, and I would not recommend this room for kids. This whole place is so thrilling and immersive! There was even a staff member that came out from a hidden door when we were checking in. Go check them out! Note: this is considered their spooky/scary place, Gnome & Raven is their tame facility.
Both high tech and manual aspects!

The game was challenging and fun. It was a little heavy on physical locks for my taste, but all in all we enjoyed it.

Very challenging but doable. So far nobody has escaped without at least one clue.

Beautiful room with an incredible ending! Mostly manual locks used. Josh is an amazing game master! Group of 4-6 would be best.
Josh, the general manager, is FANTASTIC! He hosted our game, but he must have left the control room for a moment, because a female came over the speakers later in the room YELLING at us over a misunderstanding (two combos were very similar and because of this our group opened the wrong lock on accident, but she automatically assumed we were cheating and using brute force). Our group was having a blast and going for the record until she completely changed the tone of the game. We were pretty disheartened after this incident, but Josh handled it wonderfully and offered for us to play another room for free without us complaining or asking for anything.
