Imagine you are standing in a sarcophagus where you have enough space to move and look around. You don't see your partner anymore, even though you were just together. But wait! You do hear his voice not far from you. Actually, you just wanted to play a "normal" Escape Room, but our "Mummified" game is definitely not! This game is all about you and your teammates - only two people can solve the puzzles, only two people can escape from the Egyptian burial chamber. Never before has a game of ours been so much about teamwork as this one. Communication and initiative are the key to success. Although .... there are no keys in this game. No locks either because you will find yourself in an ancient Egypt setting. A lot of other secret mechanisms and many puzzles await you.

Highest recommendation. It’s rare to find a game designed for exactly two players, and even rarer to find one where the division of labor and information is balanced so that both players are fully engaged throughout the experience. This game does a nearly perfect job — it’s my favorite two-player game of all time. Every puzzle (and the game is a nonstop puzzlefest) requires the two players to collaborate, share information, and work together. There’s a story but it’s not the main focus: you’re trapped in separate deathtrap rooms in an ancient pyramid and you need to work together to get out. Do note that they really do mean it when they say it is for exactly two players. There’s not enough room for more people and honestly the design is just right. If you want to know whether you’re on the same wavelength as someone, this game would be a great way to find out!

Not scary
Mildly claustrophobic in the beginning (each player is in their own area about the size of a small elevator) but not constricted in any way.

One person will have to do a bit of climbing.
Would not be wheelchair accessible — the game uses the floor, walls, and ceiling at various heights. Some clues require audio. A written diary (everything is in both German and English) includes important information. Players can only communicate by talking to one another through a wall for much of the game.

One of my favourite games ever! The game uses its very small footprint brilliantly, and the fact that it’s designed for exactly two players makes for a great experience. The story and atmosphere of the room are great, make sense and there’s even an unexpected twist along the way. The space is very small, and filled with puzzles, but still flows really well, which speaks volume for the game design. We loved that the puzzles really force you to work and communicate well with your partner. It never becomes boring for one of you as the other is solving something, as you’re always solving things together. Our host was also very nice, and even remembered our names for giving clear hints =) We’ll definitely come back every time we’re in Vienna!
