A group of local magicians has recently purchased an abandoned theater where Harry Houdini performed in the 1920s, with the plan to reopen it as a Houdini museum. They believe the dressing room is being haunted by his spirit! Renovations have started and the contractors have reported flickering lights, strange noises and objects moving by themselves. Your team of paranormal investigators has been hired by the owners to look into the reports of ghostly activity and attempt to put Houdini’s spirit to rest. A group of investors is coming to tour the theater in one hour. If they find out it’s haunted, they will back out of the deal and the theater will end up being demolished! Does your team have what it takes to get the job done before time runs out?

A good solid room with good props and some interesting puzzles. Despite the spooky description, this room was not scary at all and it shouldn’t put people off! Enjoyed it and we were treated well.

This game was pretty fun! I think this is a great game for beginner enthusiasts/smaller groups. The game flow was great and the puzzles were pretty solid.

This room flowed well and had lots of puzzles and riddles to solve. The decor and props were great! Unique twists near the end!

This was a fun room- nothing spectacular but I loved the theme and how the room was decorated! We did the expert mode and all the puzzles flowed very nicely and we didn’t use any clues! We can’t wait to come back to do some of their other rooms!

This room had a lot of fun puzzles. We did the hard difficulty version and found it flowed well and was fun . The magician theme was all throughout the room and was great.

We played this on expert mode, which includes a few additional harder puzzles. This was an absolutely fantastic room. You definitely feel immersed in the magic. This room kept surprising, and I loved all of the nods to Magic, and how the puzzles incorporated the theme of the room. There were only two of us, we did escape, however, we did go two minutes over the time. We only had to ask for a few clues. However, the added puzzles to make this room harder did take a lot of additional time, so if you are not an experienced escaper, I would recommend not adding the extra level of complexity. If you are an experienced escaper, definitely add the extra puzzles. The tech in this room was super cool. This company continues to amaze as we work through their rooms, nothing has disappointed yet.

This one is pretty much what you would expect from a seance room. Some similar mechanics to others in the genre. Good overall, just nothing that was a stand-out. Our GM, Mel, was very friendly and helpful.

We love the Escape Hatch! The rooms are consistently great and this one is no exception. Definitely the hardest of the 3 rooms we’ve done here; we are usually done with time to spare and minimal clues but this one took us the entire 60 minutes plus more clues than we usually need. Great atmosphere, fun story, and a little spooky (but not TOO scary, for those of you like me who don’t like to be scared). Plus, the staff here are always so great. Every game master we’ve had has been awesome, and Zac was no exception!

Overall a pretty good room as long as you are not allergic to large amounts of lockboxes. Though there was some tech involved too. Had s couple of cool moments and some decent puzzles. We definitely didn’t feel immersed, though I can see if you have an enthusiastic gamemaster it might be a little better. Worth checking out if you’ve already played Orlando’s heavy hitters

This was such a fun and unique room. Escape Hatch really has surprised me with some of their newer rooms and what they bring to the table. This company is super affordable, has such wonderful staff, and has great rooms for a dynamic duo, or more, but wouldn’t really recommend over 4. I highly recommend this as a top 5 company in Orlando and a must-do!
