Phenomenal room… BUT. OK, the room itself is amazing. Super seamless and fun puzzle flow. Amazing tech. Everything felt sleek and professional. Clever concept. Excellent storytelling. But here’s the big BUT. Eight people is too many people for this room. There were several puzzles that we couldn’t even see, let alone participate in, because we physically couldn’t get around each other in the tiny, tiny space of this room. Basically we would sit out certain puzzles and then wait for the action to come to our side of the room. We still had a super fun time, but the cramped nature of the space definitely had an impact on the experience. Then obviously the other hot topic is the fact that it’s a public room. Because this location is in an incredibly high trafficked retail area, you can count on your game filling up to the maximum capacity, as ours did. Personally, I’m not a fan of public rooms. This is a hot topic in the Escape Room community. I understand that companies need to make money, and I’m all for that, but it doesn’t change the fact that in my opinion it lowers the quality of the experience a little bit. That said, our group was great and we had a ton of fun. I just think we would’ve had MORE fun if it was just me and my partner. Regardless, Timeliner is a fantastic room And a great representation of what Escape Rooms can be.
Solid! Incredibly fun flow. Sadly, dramatically reduced fun with the number of people in the room. Mini puzzles we couldn’t participate in simply because we couldn’t physically navigate past people to see what was happening
Great! Everything felt fresh and professional
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
Navigating between different time eras was amazing. The digital “windows” were fantastic.
Excellent. One of the better Escape Room narratives we’ve seen
The puzzles themselves we’re really not difficult at all. The challenge actually came from the size of our group. Eight people is way too many people for that space. We could barely navigate around each other and things became quite clunky an awkward
8 felt like too many people in the room. This is maybe one of the biggest downers of the experience . Several puzzles became more difficult simply because we didn’t have the space to navigate around each other. We could barely even close the door in one of the rooms. The room is also extremely linear so much of the time people were just standing around waiting for things to do. Would strongly recommend they reduce the total capacity in this one.
