Super fun and really cute! This was one of the more interactive ones I’ve seen with a lot of different pieces going on. Really enjoyed it!

Haven’t yet found an Escape Game room (or any escape room for that matter) that I love quite as much as Gold Rush. Fun, beginner-friendly puzzles, set design and atmosphere like no other. Me and my team find that we keep comparing every room we do to this one, simply because it was such a positive experience. On top of that, when friends ask us what our favorite room we’ve ever done was, it’s always a resounding “Gold Rush!”

The last room and the transition to the last room were amazing. There is such a cool puzzle in the last room that I still haven't seen anywhere else. There are a lot of unique puzzles throughout, and the theming is on point. I have only two complaints, but they were enough for me to knock this down from a love to a like. 1) There is a puzzle that requires a fair amount of dexterity and can only be done by one person. The range of motion is very limited which makes this harder to do. Honestly, we might have spent like 10-15 minutes on this task alone which was just frustrating. 2) The last puzzle is math intensive, and there is no board or anything to write on so you have to be good at mental math if you're trying to do this the legit way. I have a degree in mechanical engineering so I would say I'm pretty good at math, but this was just not clicking because I am horrid at doing math in my head. Upon analysing this puzzle after completion, I do see that the easiest way to solve this is through guess and check, but I really just feel that escape rooms should never have any math based puzzles in general besides very basic addition/subtraction.

Did this with about 8 girls and it was fun! Great design and decor and puzzles were not too difficult for beginners.

I have played this game 3 times now in various settings, and I’ve loved it every time! Super cool environments, fun challenges, and a lot of variety to keep everyone involved. Really cool and unique set elements really set this game apart!
Very fun, with tons of variety! And I enjoyed the physical challenges, though there was some luck involved in my opinion. The logic puzzle was far too difficult when I played alone, but in a group we got it quickly

Gold Rush was my second room ever and I was blown away. I couldn't believe escape rooms could be that immersive! Fun puzzles, great set. In my top 10 for a very long time!!

Definitely worth visiting if you haven’t played the room at any other Escape Game locations. Room is good for beginners and satisfying for more experienced players at the same time.
Really fun puzzles that didn’t require stretching my imagination to make sense.
Quality room full of great aesthetics and overall a fun experience.
Plot was pretty standard for rooms - find the item to escape.

In early 2020, before the pandemic lockdowns, I went to The Escape Game in Austin, Texas with my brother and three of our friends/colleagues. It was incredible. The Escape Game is a large escape room chain. Since then, I have been to a couple other The Escape Game locations, and I've now learned that it wasn't just that room in Austin that was so good. All of their rooms are amazing. On this trip, we did Gold Rush. To this day, it is in my top three favorite rooms. All of the rooms at The Escape Game are very large with three or four big areas. Their lobbies are usually very small and underwhelming, but they have cool merch. If you get a chance to do a room at The Escape Game, do it. They're all good, and in my opinion, a few of them are among the best rooms in the country. My tips for their rooms: Pay very close attention to details. Search everywhere for clues. The rooms are so well designed that the puzzles blend in with the incredible decor. In a few of their rooms, we just totally missed very important clues because they just looked like they were part of the immersive environment. Sometimes you will have to go through a small opening to get into a new area, but when you get to the new area, look for a door to open that will let you back into the previous area so that you don't have to crawl/climb back and forth. Look for symbols that will connect puzzles/clues to locks. Recognizing which puzzles and clues go with which locks will help you solve the puzzles. There are so many cool elements in this room that I'm hesitant to write about them because I don't want to ruin the surprise...so I won't. This room is just incredibly fun. We had some beginners in the group, and we got out in about 55 minutes with three hints.
