(read prior to your experience) You have been searching the vast seas for what seems like an eternity, in search of a treasure so magnificent that it has become the stuff of legends. But as you finally lay your eyes upon the fabled treasure chest, your heart sinks. For it is locked tight and you have no way of unlocking it. But then, a glimmer of hope shines upon you as whispers of a powerful voodoo priestess reach your ears. Her name is Temetra and she resides on the mysterious island of "Oars Rest," where she holds the secrets to unlocking the treasure. With a fire in your heart and the wind at your back, you set sail for Temetra's remote island, ready to face any obstacles that stand in your way. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, the silhouette of Temetra's hut comes into view. You enter her abode, where the voodoo priestess greets you with a sly smile. She presents you with three trials, each more treacherous than the last. The first is a test of water. The second is a test of fire. The final challenge is a test of death. With each challenge, the spirits grow stronger and the pressure mounts. Time is running out, and you must use all of your cunning, bravery, and quick thinking to unravel the mysteries of the island and unlock the treasure chest. The fate of the treasure is in your hands. Will you rise to the occasion and become a true pirate of the seas? Or will the treasure remain locked forever, and the spirits claim you as one of their own?

This room is nothing short of exceptional, it is clear that the designers have a knack for detail and strive for excellence. Our game master was fun, bright, and immensely added to our immersion and overall experience. If you’re a group that prefers not to be nudged, be sure to express this as our experience with nudges were too frequent and too directional (this is on us, we should have specified before going in). Another warning is that you need to be 10 min early for this escape room - if you are not you will risk losing substantial time in your room. My group arrived 6 min before our start time and, due to some other circumstances outside of our control, we lost almost 15 min of game time. This was horribly disappointing, but hopefully our experience can help prevent others from facing the same fate. Lastly, the parking situation is a little tough, there are a few spots out front, but we had to drive to a nearly parking garage with us about a 3-5 min walk, so give yourself ample time to arrive for your experience.

I loved this experience! It was so incredibly immersive and exciting. Ellie was such a great game master! You can tell that she really enjoys her job and that’s so refreshing. We will definitely be coming back!

Ellie really was enthusiastic about the whole thing. Made the experience far more inviting. Puzzles had us stumped for a bit but nothing that required huge leaps in logic. 10/10 Will come back to see what they have in the future.

Ellie did an amazing job as our game master. It’s obvious that she truly enjoys getting into character which made the entire experience memorable. The elaborate puzzles and fabulous game masters are what keep us coming back time and time again. We love Escape Hour!!!

Decor was excellently immersive though at some points difficult to tell what was decor vs puzzle prop. The voice over system was great and the game master helpful (though a little too helpful at times?). The room was a good length in terms of puzzles for time and there was plenty to do for our group of six. I appreciated the paired puzzles that forced some amount of separation though the number of people and amount going on made it a little hard to hear. The puzzles themselves were immersive and the room leaned more towards immersivity vs straight up puzzle complexity. Warning - the room does require some amount of crawling and climbing.
