Not really an escape room but as for an amazing experience highly recommend just plan for several hours and take your time

Absolutely mind blowing IF you know what you’re getting yourself into. This is NOT an escape room in the slightest. It’s an immersive, interactive art exhibition. There’s no puzzles to be solved, and while there technically is some “gameplay” you can take part in, none of that is the point. Just wandering around the place, taking everything in, and exploring is the main purpose of this place. It’s beautiful, it’s incredibly detailed down to the last inch, and it’s massive- I legitimately got lost multiple times throughout my visit. There’s tons of rooms, characters, and spaces, cavernous multi-level chambers, and more secret passages than Hogwarts. I cannot believe a place like this even exists and I absolutely cannot wait to go back.
There’s not really gameplay at all here.
Absolutely mind blowing scenery that looks incredible.
Yes
NOT an escape room, but one of the best things on the planet.
Tons of lore sprinkled throughout the venue. You can piece it together, or just wander around ignoring it, and either way it’ll be incredible.
There’s not an end goal. There is no real challenge of this place.
High tech
It doesn’t matter in the slightest. Take friends you won’t mind being separated from.
Not scary

Some loud noises and flashing lights in some rooms.

You can interact with them to learn more about the lore, or completely ignore them.

Some passages from room to room involve crawling, but there is always a way around these that doesn’t involve crawling.

As many others have said, it’s NOT an escape room (although it could be depending on your state of mind ☘️- you are in Colorado after all 🤷🏼♀️). It a beautiful art exhibit and a place to explore- there are “portals”between walls that take you to different areas of the Convergence Station! There’s music and lights and everything funky! If you are in the area it is a must do in my eyes!!

This is not an escape room. I don't know why it is on this platform as an escape room - looks like a data management issue. Don't get me wrong. Meow Wolf is amazing! But is a setting that is walked around, not puzzles that have to be solved to escape.
Not scary

Not an escape room, but dang, it is a fantastic and massive art installation that would help your creativity if you're stuck on anything. We spent four hours here, you could easily spend more looking at all the tiny details that they put into every room.
No gameplay.

NOT an escape room. But since we’ve done it and it’s on here. I wanted to at least mark played. A fun time! Lots of random rooms! A fun time exploring. But definitely not an escape room.

NOT an escape room, but I’ve done it 5 times and still discover new things. They update the experience with new things all the time. #1 thing to do in Denver in my opinion.

If you enjoy the weird, the abnormal, the experimental, Meow Wolf is going to be your favorite experience. First- it is NOT an escape room at all. But, please, do not let that deter you. It’s an artist instillation with a beautiful story about being connected if you work a bit for it. That’s where some puzzling comes in. If you purchase the $3 Qpass - there are areas throughout the experience you can tap to receive ‘MEMS’ or memories (the currency of the convergence). The more you gather, the more you unlock what’s really happening in this world. You’ll be sent on ‘missions’ -so to speak- to go find other videos or solve some riddles. There are additional puzzles you can solve to reveal more about this world. These games are not to win anything except to have a more enriched experience. It’s not a place to be competitive (this coming from someone who is massively competitive). Throughout the Convergence Station there are Citizens of this world. INTERACT WITH THEM!! These actors are so much fun to interact with. They all have weird, unique characters that are a blast talking to. If you are nice to them and show interest, they will let you in on small secrets! We were taken on several tours by a one Scam Likely (if you see him say ‘Hello!’ He’s a decent chap). He showed us pieces of the world we would have never seen without him. Also, remember, this world’s commerce are memories- if you share something they might share something back with you! Convergence is MASSIVE. We spent our time making sure we got all the memory videos we could, saw everything, took a break had some lunch( they have a cafe), went back to it. We were in there for 7 hours. I’m not exaggerating, 7 hours. And there was still more to read, experience, etc. What an incredible place to exist. Having experimental artists gather together to tell a strange story about human (and not human) experiences. Give the weird a chance!

They have made this experience welcoming for all. Meow Wolf is very conscious of those who maybe impaired or have sensory sensitivities. If you do, speak to someone at the front and they will assist you.
