109 escape rooms
This was the last of 8 escape rooms we played at this location, and I’m sad to report that we saved the worst for last. The room mostly consists of these old computer minigames. And by old, I mean joysticks that move a slow cursor, misinterpret button presses, and just plain reset and shut down. They’re also unintuitive and confusing. The GM, who seemed to not be paying attention when we asked for hints, was barely audible. There was an anticlimactic end. We thought we might be done when we did a big thing, and then there was more to do? It’s unclear, because we did a thing and suddenly, timer stops with less than 10 seconds on the clock. GM then explains to us that we’re finished, but has difficulty answering our questions as to how we escaped (there was no fanfare) or what certain locks and documents that we didn’t open or use meant. He said that they were decor (btw this was a different person from the GM giving us hints for some reason). I wasn’t quite convinced because either there’s a lot of weird decor or red herrings? I don’t know what I want to believe, because we did escape? So in the end, I had no clue what happened in this room, how we won, or what is reality. There are better rooms at this location and franchise. Do those instead.
