The location’s Summer Room is in the same room as their other seasonal rooms. As a result, the layout is exactly the same and some puzzles are actually also nearly the same with a slight twist. So I wouldn’t recommend going if you’ve experienced any of the other seasonal rooms in Elmhurst. That said, this is a hard recommendation unless you’re going as a family with younger kids as this is a kid-friendly room. Almost every lock is a mechanical padlock and you can see nearly all of them them at the same time. So any time we solved a puzzle, we had literally no clue which lock to put it in. Combined with some clues being unclear what they were asking for, and some locks being old and not working the best, it was more frustrating than fun. It was more decorated than their spring room, but not by much. The puzzle theming and decor were barebones, again, since it’s a “seasonal” room. But how seasonal can you get in a somewhat decorated office room? Also, notes were left behind from the previous team, so the room wasn’t technically reset properly.
