There is a murderer on this train… Or more than one! Since yesterday, 2 of the passengers are missing, and just last night we found the dead body of one of them. Mr. Hercule Poirot advised the Conductor in charge and the Police Officer of the train, to gather everybody, including himself in the main restaurant of the train. However, before the door of the restaurant gets locked, you received a message from Mr. Poirot saying: “Don’t come to the restaurant with the others, If I am not wrong the murderer may be here with us but the proof of his guilt isn’t. I left a letter for you, with all the information I know till now and I will delay everybody for an hour, pretending that I am interrogating them, so you find him! Good Luck.”

We enjoyed this game. It had some really clever puzzles and the theming was wonderful as always. I just wish we would have been able to figure things out on our own without being given unsolicited hints from our GM throughout the entirety of the game, even after telling them that we would ask for hints when needed.

Staff was welcoming and kind, however, our GM asked before the game started if we wanted hints or if we preferred to ask for them. We told them that we would prefer to ask for hints when needed. We ended up asking for one hint and for the rest of the game we continued to get unsolicited hints. It was to the point where as soon as we walked into a room a hint would be given before we were even able to explore the room to try and figure things out on our own. Toward the end of the game our GM sounded annoyed when giving these unsolicited hints because we were unable to find something quick enough, or we were still trying to figure out a plan. We’ve been to this location before and didn’t experience this issue, so I’m hoping it’s just an isolated incident. It definitely put a damper on our experience.
