Cabin in the Woods (The Unknown Part 1)

We had a great time at this escape room. The other reviews don’t lie, it’s hard. But the theming is appropriately spooky, with some ramped up scares in the second half (no scare actors though). This has a real homegrown feel to it, and while it may not have the flash of some of the bigger escape rooms, you can feel the passion behind its design. Our group got out with 2 minutes to spare and all had a good time. My only gripes were a couple tech puzzles that required a quick reset after they didn’t work properly the first time.

Good room! The cabin ambiance was well done and one of the riddles especially was a cool detective theme. Everything functioned perfectly and all the riddles made sense. Nothing left me frustrated except for myself! Fun room - I’d recommend doing this one. I liked it better than escape from mars.

Scary cabin in the woods with the crazy murderer. Game flowed very well; very linear. A few tricky puzzles kept us occupied. Everything worked and was in good condition. We will have to get back to do part 2 and solve the murders.

There’s a few puzzles that seem tossed in to help the experience be more scary but unrelated to the main story they’re building. In total, it’s a decent experience worth a try. Do the Unknown Part 2 right after to get the full story.

Solid Gen 1 puzzles, mildly creepy, with a logical puzzle flow that ramps up difficulty. The set has seen a fair bit of wear and tear. Our GM was super chill and the hints when requested were clear and direct.

It was HARD!! Had the Groupon so this was our only option. I’d go back and try the others for sure. It’s in a nice neighborhood, you don’t always find that here lol! The space is not big but the puzzles are packed and they are not easy. It was fun tho. 30% finish rate. We made it to their 80% so we got go sign the wall. The part 2 is their hardest room….. not one of my favorites…. But I like them all
