Finding a house this cheap is rare in New York. You're not one to believe the stories, but they say this home was refuge for one of the most evil spirits the small town of Amityville has ever known. This was an okay escape room. It gives you everything you want from a scary escape room except real “scares”. It is creepy but that’s about as far as it goes. The puzzles were abundant but mostly simple. And it seemed most of the time, even after we had tried the correct answer multiple times, certain doors weren’t triggering and had to be triggered manually. Cool hiding spots for keys made finding everything a lot of fun as well as being handed two small candles at the beginning as our light source.

I liked the room, it was spooky and the atmosphere was dark and felt immersive. You can tell that the room was a bit dated though, as some things had signs asking not to touch or break. We were a group of 3 and got out with about 30 minutes to spare.

It’s ok, easy room for enthusiasts, so if you’re looking for a challenging room, you can skip this one. But it was still fun to do and check off the list. Not too much of a horror or spooky factor, just slight eerieness!

While this room might be good for someone’s introduction to escape rooms, I can’t really recommend this room. There just simply weren’t enough puzzles. The ambiance was well designed and spooky but that’s about all the positive I have to say about it. Also, our GM was kinda apathetic and rude. Also, the lighting is very dark so keep that in mind if that’s an issue for you

It’s an okay escape room. Definitely a room to check out if you wanna start doing scary ones. There was really only one puzzle that I really enjoyed. The set and the fx were immersive but there wasn’t not enough momentum. One of my friends started to freak out and that was the only real entertainment. I didn’t hate it, I just wanted more. It’s a pretty old room, I think it’s time for Amityville to get renovated.

I’m trusting the GM I saying that the last puzzle was meant to be unlocked. But with that it was a fun creepy room with some interesting elements and fun puzzles. Room is dim but that did not take from the experience. Parking was horrible.
