Beautiful and exciting set with good puzzle flow! Given the award for use of live actors, I was surprised that the acting was just the GM having an acting role. I will note that the puzzles were not very challenging, but I didn't find them boring.
Very good flow between puzzles! Good payoff of all props that were introduced, with some variation in how quickly they were used. I also liked the inclusion of some physical challenges (which were fun and not too difficult).
Great retro aesthetic!
The GM was great and the choice of having the GM acting worked very well! Our GM (Seaogh) had a fun personality, both in and out of the room.
Mechanical
Set was amazingly interactive, but built mostly with plywood and electromagnets.

So much fun and full of nostalgia. It’s everything you want a game show game to be and made me feel like I was playing games right out of 1984 TV game shows. Harder with only 2 people. There were things we were solving separately that we had to fill each other in on later, but that’s part of why it’s made for 3+. Great time!
Nick did a great job in the room… even with my husband giving him a hard time.

This one room game was very unique in its theme. We originally thought it would be more of a competition between players like a real game show. It’s not. It’s a cooperative game like most escape rooms are. We liked that. It’s a low tech room but the puzzles were fun for the most part. Our GM/host, Brandon, was terrific. The two of us divided and conquered on some puzzles and worked together on others, finishing the game with plenty of time. Teams of 2-4 are perfect.

Round of applause to Bonus Fun Time Game Show Challenge!! I love game shows and escape rooms, so it was a no-brainer to play this room. And it delivered! It’s such a love letter to retro game shows, incorporating actual challenges and games from those shows into the puzzles and tasks. There is sort of a story, but the room could have literally had no story and I would have been in my happy place. The game master doubles as a game show host in the room with you. Our host Lincoln did a spectacular job with the hammy acting and helpful nudges, so another round of applause to him! This is definitely a grand prize winner!

We’ve done over 135 rooms and are a bit jaded these days, but we really enjoyed this room! Even though it had a lot of 1st gen puzzles, it was still super fun and flowed very well. Totally worth your time if you enjoy this theme! We went as a team of 4 (2 enthusiasts and 2 newbies), and we did not rush to get through it (e.g., we avoided dividing and conquering too much because this way everyone gets to see/work on all the puzzles/games and no one misses out on parts of the room). The atmosphere was perfect, and we enjoyed the variety of puzzles. We loved that there was very minimal search-and-find, and there were no red herrings or time-wasting tedious tasks. The game master/game show host is inside the room with you, but they totally respected our wishes for no hints and just smiled at us to keep the positive energy going while letting us do our thing. Overall, we loved this room and would highly recommend it for newbies and enthusiasts alike!
Easy
Street parking only, which was ample when we were there on Friday mid-afternoon

Great room with a theme that you don’t usually see! Fun atmosphere and the staff was amazing!

Bonus Fun Time was a great Gen 1 room. The puzzles were varied and unique, and the overarching "game show" theme was very well executed. The only things that bring this room down are typical gen 1 problems - lots of padlocks (very little answer overlapping between locks, thankfully) and a well-worn set. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you are in the area!
A bit worn down unfortunately.

It’s a very low-tech room overall, but it was very fun and engaging nonetheless. The only real complaint would be the linearity of the puzzles past a certain point, but that’s a minor problem at most.
The game master is always in the room, giving a very different experience from most other impersonal “man behind the curtain” GMs.

My favorite of their 4 experiences! Who wouldn’t want to be on a game show? Had some unique puzzles I haven’t seen before. Don’t miss this room!
