The Storyteller’s Secret was more than an escape room. It was beautiful and clever and immersive and fun. My husband and I were able to complete it with about 10-15 minutes to spare and in a way I almost wished we took longer and savored every bit. The story was unique and the puzzles were fun and challenging. We were both impressed by the technology. The music made the experience feel even more magical and was lovely. I read so many reviews about this room before we were able to experience it and I didn’t understand how an escape room could be “beautiful” but I get it now. I can’t even begin to guess how many times I said “wow! Look at that!” to my husband. I can not possibly recommend this room more. You really must try The Storyteller’s Secret- it will not disappoint.

A beautiful story, told through unique puzzles and challenges that was unlike any other experience I’ve ever had in an escape room. It had a great flow and kept us working hard!

This was more than an escape room. It was transportation to another place. The rooms, music, lighting- all of it was purposeful and perfect.

Like many others have said, this was unlike any other room I’ve done. It was the telling of a story, not a rush to escape a room, diffuse an explosive, find a cure or any of the other typical escape room experiences. It was truly unique and quite frankly incredible.

The story was so good that I want to read the imaginary book that this imaginary author wrote in this imaginary scenario. I am all in.

An exceptionally polished room with wonderful theming, non-linear puzzles, magical technology, and no traditional locks. The room encourages deeply out-of-the-box thinking at times, but it always is logical, fair, and fun. The final puzzle is really simple and elegant, a beautiful culmination of all that came before.
Gameplay
This room is very novel (pun intended)! The game asks you to be creative and learn the world, then it asks you to build on what you know and make new connections. The scaffolding is so brilliantly handled. Everything about the room feels whimsical and magical. For groups that work well together and are comfortable with puzzles, the only issue is that the game can be solved too quickly.
Atmosphere
This is akin to an interactive Disney attraction! It’s beautiful, fully realized, and deeply immersive. The props are all bespoke, which makes the room so unique and gives it its personality. The unlocks and opens and reveals feel like magic, and the music, audio, and atmospherics all support the story and the puzzles.

Our GM was a little awkward, but another member of the staff after the experience was really nice. Nothing above and beyond, but it was overall positive.

For groups who know what they’re doing, the 75-minute run is absolutely a joke. That said, the puzzles do require a lot of creativity and abstraction at times.

You won’t find a single traditional lock here! In fact, the game is so high-tech that you’ll get a score card at the end of the game that tells you your time for completing each puzzle, as well as how you compare to all others who have played the room.

There is a puzzle that involves color, though I (a person afflicted with color blindness) had no issue distinguishing the colors. There is one prop that requires close listening. Mobility issues should not be an issue, though maybe a few puzzles are too high up for those who use wheelchairs.
