This is wonderful experience for enthusiasts! It's very strange though because any of the rooms on their own are just ok but combine into one giant room with a story that connects all of them and it's an absolutely wonderful and unique experience that can't be missed! Since the rooms were originally designed as separate games there are a few puzzles that get reused but overall it's a can't miss game and one that's well worth traveling for!

Creating a whole city that needs saving and adding extra puzzles that combine each of the escape rooms into one big experience is absolutely brilliant!

Save the City is a unique 4-hour gauntlet through 4 of this facility’s city-themed escape rooms, strung together by an engaging audio narrative about superheroes and villains. And it is absolutely phenomenal! It’s an ambitious idea to combine all your rooms into one super long experience, and on top of that, add in bonus puzzles in the “streets” hallway and an extra half room (Rick’s Robot Garage). And the fact that it’s flows so seamlessly and cleverly from one room to another is truly the crux of this marathon. Each individual room (Armory, City Reserves, Neon Diner, Cyber Station) ranges from pretty good to excellent. It’s the whole being so much greater than the sum of its parts that elevates each otherwise separate escape room to true awesomeness. I love how you have the entire 4 hours to have the whole building to yourselves! The story and characters were surprisingly captivating, though I kinda wish that there was more than audio. And earning and using superpowers felt so rewarding, and much like how I feel when I unlock skills in video games. As a bonus, there are improvised interactions with the game masters, and some worthwhile and special parting gifts. We were super exhausted by the end, and we definitely needed more hints than usual for the final room. But it was all worth it! There’s so much more I could say about Save the City, but the bottom line is if you were gonna experience any of the rooms, it’s worth saving it for the full marathon experience!
They even did some fun improv with us!

Individual rooms aren’t necessarily super difficult, but the 4.5 escape room gauntlet will prove tiring and strenuous

I have to give City 13 high praise for what they’ve done. Tying in their four individual rooms into one cohesive experience is very cool. You can tell that the rooms were built with the Save the City experience in mind from the start. The set design is really well done. The puzzles overall are also really good. But it’s not perfect. The story is driven by audio narration. All four of us found the ongoing story a bit confusing at times and, quite frankly, uninteresting. If they were to have it be visual through video rather than just auditory, that would make a huge difference. Also, flashlights and something to take notes on are not provided. We all were constantly using our phone flashlights. You can use your phone for these things (battery drain), or you can bring your own flashlights and a notebook. That said, the experience of doing a four hour game tying the rooms altogether and adding additional puzzles in between the rooms was amazing. It’s unlike anything else available in the US that I know of.

One of the best escape rooms I’ve ever done. Nick and Ethan were the best and made the experience very enjoyable. It is very long which makes it so challenging, but I highly recommend. Be ready for a challenge
It was super engaging, but super difficult because of the length
The atmosphere was on point and really got you engaged
The staff was the best and made the experience so much more enjoyable
Not scary
Not scary at all there wasn’t much lighting though

Extremely fun if you are an escape room enthusiast. I did it with my group of 3 and we escaped with 15 seconds left! The game itself is very interesting. They take their 4 rooms and put them all into one game, one after the other. It is very challenging and fun!

Heckin good time fighting the bad guys to save city 13! This is a super creative way to strong together all of their rooms. I loved the set, our game master Jake was phenomenal, and the sound and lighting design were like being in a movie. And of course, great puzzles and fun challenges. Definitely recommend this experience for enthusiasts.

Stringing together all their rooms with a linear theme and some additional puzzles (and powers!) was a very clever way to make their rooms extra special. Lots of tech elements too that added to the magic.

Four hours or escape with three people was challenging! But unlimited clues and a great game master helped. We particularly stumbled with the puzzles in the diner. They felt more special and our brains were pretty spent by then (hour 3ish). But we redeemed ourselves in the subway and had a grand time!

Not a ton of crawling and no climbing. But definitely a lot of moving around since it’s the whole space over 4 hours
