Terrific concept, awful execution. Poorly laid out, zero clear direction, room is falling apart and cheaply made. Insists on doing things in a particular order, but had a ton of puzzles that could be solved early, leading you to a dead end until the game guide tells you you skipped something.

Very dark and hard to see/read clues. Non-linear so it was overwhelming at first but seemed to get a little easier as we went. Very interactive room - our guide (Angel) was awesome.
Angel was one of the best guides we have ever had.

I wanted to love this room. I really did, the concept is so cool. Let me first say that the immersion in this room is absolutely fantastic, as well as the use of technology. The game master was wonderful as well. I absolutely loved the way they incorporated all five of your senses. However, this is a very non-linear room, so it felt hard to start, and even the first puzzle that we did find, which felt like the best starting point, was unnecessarily difficult- we knew how to solve it, we didn’t understand why it wasn’t working. Because of this, it made it feel like there wasn’t a natural progression into a nice easy start to more complex puzzles, regardless of how nonlinear it is. Some of the puzzles just seemed unnecessarily, hard, and the fact that we knew what we were trying to do but the room was so dimly lit or things would go so fast, or incredibly tiny details that were so easily missed makes it almost not enjoyable. Maybe because we only had two of us, more people might be a better experience. I really enjoyed the immersion and the creativity this room had. I just wish some of the puzzles were a little more understandable, because as we were going through, it felt like they were intentionally trying to trick you, even if you understood the concept so it felt a little defeating. That being said, I will absolutely go back and try the other rooms.

A very non-linear room. We played with only 2 people - it may have been better with more. The tech helped make things immersive but it was finicky. It was also scavenger hunty which isn’t outlet favorite. There’s a lot of writing in the room that is old and fading and hard to read with small writing.
Very non-linear. More challenging for only 2 people. Because of that the flow just wasn’t there.

This game was extremely fun, but the lower level of light in the room made it difficult to see some of the puzzles. We were glad there were younger people in our party, because we likely would not have been successful alone.

The design and theming of this room is absolutely gorgeous. My only real complaint would be that the puzzles aren’t linear, so if you’re not used to that you will have to adapt. This room has one of the most creative puzzles I’ve ever encountered in any escape room. Really love it and is my favorite room at Mystique.

This was our most frustrating room experience to date. The very first puzzle we solved quickly, but the GM never noticed that something was not triggering. It took us doing the puzzle 5 or 6 times to get it to trigger. One of the clues was incredibly difficult to see in a dark room with no offer of additional light sources. We don’t like to take our phones out in rooms, but I’m glad we didn’t lock them up this time because we definitely needed them. The GM told us lots of people had the same issue as us. Maybe this is the sign of poor design? Other clues were written incredibly small, smudged, quiet, or unclear. When asked, my partner answered honestly that we did not enjoy the experience. There were customers in the lobby, so I did not want to say anything that may negatively affect their experience. The owner did reach out the next day for feedback and was very receptive. A lot of the issues stemmed from an inattentive GM and he understood our frustration. We will be returning next week to try another of their rooms. Greatly appreciate the customer service.
Staff was welcoming, but GM was not good/helpful.
Needlessly frustrating.

Not very accessible for people with vision or hearing issues. At least one person in the group needs to be able to crawl.

Very challenging room! The interaction in this room was amazing. Getting to use your wand to interact with things around the room just really draws you in and makes the game that much more exciting. Highly recommended for everyone beginner or experienced!

This room was fun to play, but it was full of red herrings and non linear paths some of which can’t progress the game.

This room will use your 5 senses which is super cool. It’s the first room where I’ve been able to eat something in a room.

The letters on the cryptex puzzles were worn off. I think they should replace them.

Very magical, really cool, basically a one room but they made really good use of the space…I was surprised in that regard. I will say there are some things that should be labeled just to help with the overall flow, but this room surprised me in a very good way…it was beautiful, fun, really cool tech, I felt immersed, and this is one of my top faves now.
Just needs some tweaks to help with the flow…it was a tad confusing with the direction but still very good.
Amazing for a one roomer. Just beautiful.
The staff is always great!

More sets of eyes looking around absolutely would help. We did it as 2 players.
