The Curiosity Shop

The room was pretty unique and interesting, but much different than most escape rooms we’ve done. Once you arrive, you have to wait outside in downtown Riverside. They were some sketchy people and the dispensary next door was very fragrant. We were very close to escaping and it would have been nice if we were given one last hint before time ran out.

Really unique set and atmosphere. Immersion was very enjoyable and the tools provided upon investigation. Experience can be frustrating on puzzle flow. They make it linear but it can be nonlinear but not flow correctly. There were some great moments I enjoyed.

Not your average escape room. Definitely worth checking out. Take your time and follow the clues.

One of my favorite experiences

Cool to see such an old room still in business since most Gen 1 rooms don’t seem to last this long so we thought we were in for a great time. The room involved many riddles which I discovered I’m definitely not a fan of. The room wasn’t as lock and key heavy as I was expecting and definitely linear but since we were warned it was linear our team was more apprehensive to search out what to do afraid we would get things going out of order that I think it took some of the search and find excitement out of the experience.

As far as style this game is lock and key a little bit bit of tech. However theming is the strong point here. A ghost hunting game with great immersion and fun. Linear and relatively easy with riddles but so many little things that let this game shine as a strong adventure. Had a great time and the GMs/owners were top notch people who care about their customers.

Hidden Gem. This room doesn’t get the buzz it deserves. It’s got a unique premise, a fantastic atmosphere and a friendly staff. Give this room a shot, you won’t regret it.

So much fun! From all the artifacts in the room and the added surprises along the way. It really felt like I was investigating an old museum of eerie. I wish wizards and wires got more hype for this room because it really is a great one.
