In 1987 a series of bizarre murders plagued the city of Edinburgh. Over a span of a few months, 6 victims were found in various closes in the city. The victims were all male, in good physical condition and in their twenties. When dissected it was clear they were all missing an organ but a primitive replacement was found in its place.Just as swiftly as they had started the murders stopped. The police never found out who was behind it all and eventually gave up the case after years of searching. But last night there was an unexpected development in the case, 5 new victims. we don’t know why he’s back, why he’s taking organs but let’s be clear. If we don’t find the missing organs in the next hour 5 men will die. We’re counting on you.

We did this room as a group of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I have played locked in games before but in Glasgow not on Edinburgh. We got slightly lost for the location but once we walked through the centre we were greeted with our games host. All of the game hosts at this venue seemed really engaging and passionate about their job, which made all the difference. Although this game did not have live actors you are still facing a fear factor in the room. The room was spacious and we never felt cramped and we were able to split off and solve different tasks in the room. I believe there was every possible lock I have ever encountered at this room. It has an electronic element but was not a heavy room on technology. The story line flowed well and we constantly knew what our aims were to get out of the room. I recommend everyone to do this room, it was an energetic fast paced room with lots of fun throughout! I can’t wait to go back and do another room at this company.

This was an excellent game and lots of puzzles I had never experienced before which was exciting. Our GM was a treat and really got us hyped up to play. The game flowed brilliantly and we liked the story we followed along to. If you are in the city then it’s a MUST DO!

The Cutting Room was a challenging but enjoyable puzzling experience. There’s a really satisfying variety of puzzles without being short on cluing or signposting. My only complaint was that the space becomes somewhat stuffy - I might be inclined to say that it impacted our solving in the back half of the game, although realistically we were as much to blame as the environment. Otherwise I had a blast (although I think I probably liked The Secret Lab more)
Charlie was a wonderful GM - welcoming, helpful, and happy to nerd out with us about how the escape room and the company worked. She was also extremely kind and accommodating of us running a bit behind schedule (thank you!)

Locked in Edinburgh is in the back of a complex with a lot of different facilities and is somewhat short on signage. Our GM had to come rescue us when we got lost

I played this game as a group of 2 although the game is meant to be for 3+ players, and it definitely is a 3+ player room. First attempt I did not finish but I’m hoping to go back for a second go! The room size is very big and there are a lot (A LOT) of puzzles in there. Very cool set design, as always from Locked In Edinburgh.
