If you like linear rooms, this is not for you. If you like incredible, impeccably themed rooms with engaging staff, run… book this! It’s clear that Next Level cares about the experience. It’s a fantastic room and I cannot say enough great things about it.

Fun room with a lot of puzzles and a lot to do! Nonlinear story and fun sidequests to follow ontop of actually escaping the room! Commentary is fun and entertaining, didn‘t feel it being too much to be interrupting for out gameplay, though I can see how others would maybe like to focus and concentrate more. Puzzles are clever and hints easy to miss, but everything flows well and is well within theme. Room is pretty big, though, solving the puzzles requires actually some running around between all the puzzle pieces, so that was a bit challenging with 2 players :D Ideal player number would probably be like 4-5 players. All in all, a fun room, with clever puzzles, some nice twists, rooms and puzzles nicely within theme and a nice flow.

Non linear room with a heavy narration which was great for story but threw us off a little at the start- loved the themes and the variet of puzzle. Also great thag after getting everything to escape you can choose to complete further side quests. Did all objectives in the time given

Did enjoy this room, though it would be my least favourite out of all of their rooms I have played. It’s technically non linear meaning you can do multiple puzzles at once, but I found in this game that kind of wrecked the flow and storyline. There are two side quests available and we were able to complete both with plenty of time remaining

The aspect that got me was that the escape is NOT your final objective! 🤫 Ex Libris is great room for beginners and experienced players alike. It is also versatile enough to cater for big and small groups. Big groups are able to divide and conquer which keeps everyone engaged. They also have a duplicate room so it’s great for groups of 20 that want race each other. Also the humour of this company is Next Level!

Gameplay

This is a multi-linear room so you are able to complete different rooms in any order which is great for small and big groups alike.

Atmosphere

Without giving too much away, each room transported you to a different world. Very immersive.

Customer service

Super friendly, personable and quirky staff. They also take on a character while helping you through the room so the voice over hints are super fun!

No climbing or crawling required. All doors are standard.
