Crane ManorClue IQEscape roomIRLOne of my favorite games I’ve played. It’s jam packed with unique and challenging puzzles, and I love that it’s a longer game than typical escape rooms.
PlaygroundThe Escape GameEscape roomIRLThis is an awesome game. The puzzles are very immersive, hands-on, and exciting. There are various surprises in the game flow and new spaces to explore. Despite the room holding such a high number of players, I would definitely recommend bringing a group of 4-6. We had a large group, and although super fun, it was pretty hectic.
The CarnivalEscape This FrederickEscape roomIRLA FANTASTIC game. Very visually appealing, colorful, and light hearted, while still an exciting and adrenaline-inducing challenge. A great experience for any player - of any age or experience level! I’m confident anyone will have a blast in this room.
ExcaliburClue IQEscape roomIRLThis is a cool game. The set design is spectacular. It wasn’t necessarily memorable compared to a few of the other games at Clue IQ, but it’s definitely a must-play in Frederick.
8-bit EscapeRavenchase: Escape Room HerndonEscape roomIRLCool room. Probably would be better if I was older and more nostalgic for the old video games/music/toys featured in the room. Still had a blast w/ friends.
Magician's WorkshopRavenchase: Escape Room HerndonEscape roomIRLThis room was very memorable. It isn’t the type of storyline I’m usually drawn to, but it was honestly very well done with a lot of cool effects. With a group on the larger size, there were still things for everyone to be working on at pretty much all times.
Operation Jingle BellsClue IQEscape roomIRLAnother great game from Clue IQ. The set of this game is awesome - definitely gets you in the Christmas spirit. They did a great job of incorporating different elements of the holiday to create variety in the game. The only downside about this room is that it is NOT LINEAR. There is a lot going on and you can almost solve everything as it is mostly all out in the open from the start. I recommend bringing a larger group and SPLITTING UP. Don’t focus on one puzzle at a time. My team of four split into groups of two and worked in pairs for a lot of the game. I would still absolutely recommend playing this room. Now I’ve officially played all of Clue IQ’s rooms and I can’t wait for the new ones they have coming up!
Maritime MutinyRavenchase: Escape Room HerndonEscape roomIRLThis was super fun!! The set is fantastic, and I’m not typically crazy about pirate rooms, but this was done well.
Special Ops: Mysterious MarketThe Escape Game - New YorkEscape roomIRLAnother spectacular game. It’s basically two completely different themes combined into one game. The one downside about this one is all of the virtual puzzles. There are several screens in the second half of the game with self contained virtual puzzles. I always prefer physical puzzles to this. Still a definite play
The Graverobber's DilemmaRavenchase: Escape Room HerndonEscape roomIRLVery cool and unique. I did expect it to be more challenging and scary - it’s a good medium/easy and is more eerie/gross than scary. I’d still absolutely recommend playing it. Herndon always kills it!
