Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings
Universal Studios Orlando
Haunt
Haunted house
Smells, story, creepy factor, scares are all top notch. My favorite haunted house of all time. Man, they nailed it. But even by nailing it, isn’t scary, just insanely creepy. But the actors are spot on matches and the costumes and sets are top notch. Very much an immersive experience and a great time.

Smells, story, creepy factor, scares are all top notch. The theme is generally creepy, and the jump scares are waaaay more creative than most houses this year. What every great haunted house needs, this one completely delivers. Top notch house, will be doing it more than once.

Everything you’ve read is true, it’s one of the best escape rooms in the country, a must for any serious escapist. Unfortunately we had difficulty as a bottleneck button broke, forcing us to pause the game. Then, a flashlight went out, twice. Then we ran into a design that removed, which then changed the intuitive lines of a solution and burned time. Despite all of that, we had the best Game Master we’ve ever met, Elle, and she played a character and interacted in a way that completely kept us immersed despite these pauses/delays. My lord, if you just don’t overthink it, this might be the best flow I’ve ever experienced in a room that kept the creepiness cranked to 9 and the theme deeply disturbing that I’m still thinking about it hours afterward.

Very few rooms are as immersive as this experience. You begin in a very realistic Moroccan Market (spices, tile pattern, glass doors on market stores (I’ve spent weeks in Morocco), the props are obviously authentic to the region and the happenstance solutions are realistic and keep you in the game. Once the plot twist occurs, the game becomes what was promised, Ops with of course more twists and turns. It was fantastic and gave legit Mission Impossible Vibes with the tasks and tech. I’d play it again just to live in Spy Universe for another hour.

This might be the most fun single experience I’ve ever had in an escape room as a solo. Had a great “mini-game” element to it. Each puzzle was well themed but had a few great skill games built into it. Haven’t seen anything like that before except for The Quest with Escape GOAT. Truly matters how fast you can beat the skill games. Completely immersive, completely of the era it’s set, and such a great time. I can’t give spoilers in this review, but it’s amazing and a must-do for ages 6-60. Should definitely be considered a “first room” for kids. They’d love it.

My Daughters first “Team-Leader” room. She crushed it. Absolutely a perfect game for kids and small teams and beginners. A sprint game for experienced players.

Here’s my humble opinion of what separates good from great to incredible escape rooms: FLOW. Good ones are thematic and challenging. Great ones are intuitive from A to B to C with blending into the theme. Incredible rooms put you in the EXACT plotline and order the room wants you to go, enhancing the plot, which nudgestt you in the right solution direction without needing a clue. This falls between great and incredible. All the puzzles were thematic and difficult, but a few were too hidden (but not impossible) and all the mechanisms and tech were seamless. It was clear what order you needed to solve the lockboxes and mech if you paid attention to the story and clues. You definitely need 2-3 at a minimum as you jump back and forth between 3 spaces. There were no areas where design impeded the escapist and burned unnecessary time. I’d HIGHLY recommend this room for novice groups of 2-4, as props, plot, design, character, theme, and mech were reasonably isolated. I’d play it again with first timers. Loved it.

Great time, but I feel like haunts are either terrifying OR for kids. The museum bridges the gap. Where are the place that get nastier when it gets dark? A classic Good time, and brave kids whom are worthy of it will enjoy it as well.
