Despite all of the positive reviews we felt this escape room wasn’t what we were expecting. Although there was very beautiful set design, the hint system and game master didn’t make sense to any of us. We felt very alone through the whole experience and the solving of the puzzles definitely wasn’t the (or at least our) first instinct. We also weren’t crazy about the fact that we couldn’t control when we got hints. Overall we felt this escape room just didn’t live up to the hype. It wasn’t terrible, it just wasn’t great experience for us (especially since it was pretty pricey).

We came to Locurio from Canada several months ago and attempted their other room (The Story Keeper). We didn’t make it out and had to leave the next day so we weren’t able to redeem ourselves nor try their other room. So naturally the first escape rooms we booked for our august trip were at Locurio and we decided to try this one first! From the GM, to the set design, this room was fantastic! Every member of our group had something to do at all times and we all agreed that the puzzles were unique and fun! Overall we had a great experience at Locurio and would highly recommend adding this to a list of must-dos!

We all absolutely loved this one! Very immersive set and our fantastic GM Haley helped us (while in character) through the whole thing. I would highly recommend this room to any escape room fans or even newer players : )

We all loved this escape room! It was very immersive and felt like we were actually in jail. Super energetic and welcoming staff as well as really creative puzzles.

Our group definitely enjoyed ourselves. Although in our opinions it didn’t have very good flow ie. we felt lost often between puzzles. We also noticed that they used some of the same tech, props and puzzle concepts from previous rooms (we did 1 additional room) which definitely made it less immersive.

Great GM and really good experience. This was our first game from Xperience Kelowna. It was a linear room and definitely had good flow. Overall we really liked this room.

The puzzles were ok although the room wasn’t immersive and was quite dirty. The staff was pretty rude and when we got there a bit late due to traffic. Then even with our timer started they made us wait in the lobby for 5-10 minutes while they were escorting another group and making small talk. Overall not a great experience which is unfortunate because I had high hopes for a big franchise like this.

Gameplay

Our group felt lost/didn’t know where to go next several times.

Atmosphere

Overall the set was ok but it definitely wasn’t as immersive as I’d like or expect for this theme.

Customer service

The front desk was very welcoming although there wasn’t much of a “game master”.

Difficulty

Hard

It was rated hard, our group thought it was more of a medium.
