I agree with the other reviewers about the 1 bad puzzle that could be easily fixed. I still would have no hesitations recommending this game to anyone in the area.
Wizard’s AcademyHometown EscapesEscape roomIRLHometown is a hidden gem in the Charlotte metro area. This room was full of surprises. The puzzles were difficult and fun and super rewarding to solve. The room uses almost exclusively electronic locks. It is a pretty great place with amazing and friendly GMs
The Crystal CaveThe Valcarol MissionsEscape roomIRLThe atmosphere here is honestly second to none. It is a crazy immersive experience that you can tell the owners poured themselves into. There were some pretty big logic leaps in the puzzles, but I would still recommend this game to anyone looking for rooms in the Charlotte area.
GoneExit Strategy - SouthEscape roomIRLI loved the puzzles in this room. This was one of the first rooms that I did and got me hooked. They have a lot of really cool unique puzzles.
Baruta's RevengeExit Strategy - NorthEscape roomIRLThis is definitely one of the hardest rooms I have done. I’m not sure I would recommend doing this unless you’re prepared to do it twice. Some of the puzzles are just pointless time sucks (yelling over and over, waiting for things to move) that kind of killed the experience for me. The overall experience and design are amazing, but it seems like they made it almost impossible to get out on purpose for no real reason.
