40 ThievesMindTrap Escape Room - TemeculaEscape roomIRLHollywood-level production design, unique puzzles, and an enthusiastic staff make for a thoroughly fun experience. There is quite a bit to do in this room so larger groups (6 or more) or experienced enthusiasts would be most successful. Ask for hints if you get stuck!
The TreehouseConfusion EscapesEscape roomIRLWe really enjoyed this room! Part I is spiderweb puzzle flow; part II is multi-linear. The set design is whimsical and fun to explore, and the mix of gen 1 and gen 2 puzzles are an integral part of the space. Great room for all-ages, and the owners are friendly and helpful!
Time MachineNot Another Escape RoomEscape roomIRLOne of my favorite rooms! Great for kids, with nostalgia and easter-egg elements for adults. Come for the story and adventure. Focus is on the experience, with puzzles fun and easier difficulty. If you want a puzzle-heavy room play their Battleship room. Highly recommend both!

The Asylum13th Gate EscapeEscape roomIRLCreepy, mild horror in an old asylum. Lots to do, with a linear puzzle flow and a mix of puzzle types. The set is stellar and difficulty well-calibrated for intermediate to experienced players. Our GM was friendly and gave just the right amount of help. Loved this room.

Odditorium EmporiumEscapeX Rooms Costa MesaEscape roomIRLUnderstood that a lot of people really love this room. We did not have a good experience. I get that the sassy, rude puppet is a big part of the experience but it came across as flat out mean and contemptuous. The GM ignored requests for help or hints. Some of the puzzles also require the GM to provide pieces or take actions in the puzzle solving sequence. We kept trying to figure out what the next step was because it wasn’t obvious that the GM had to be the one to do something and it took about 5 min before he spoke up. Hopefully we just did this on a bad day.
