Stash HouseStash HouseEscape roomIRLWhat a great room! Stash House currently has just the one escape room but as the name suggests you use the entire house. As you enter from the street, the lighting is already dimmed and after formalities you are left to find all the hidden drugs. We played as group of 2 which allowed us to be fully immersed in all the puzzles, however, we did max out on our time and didn’t have long on the clock left. A great ending (no spoilers) and definitely worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed!
UI-55CompendiumEscape roomIRLWow, this room is probably one of the biggest rooms I’ve ever seen, with rooms that lead into more rooms. Don’t let that put you off if you only have a small team though as the room is great for any number of team. Mostly designed to work individually on puzzles as you explore the rooms with the idea to collect as much loot as you can and escape in time. The set is awesome, the host was fab and a real fun must do room! This room literally has something for everyone!
Lab RatHatch Escapes - LAEscape roomIRLWe were visiting LA for a week and had heard Lab Rat was award winning and so we definitely had to squeeze in this room whilst here. The set is really fun and the room includes video along the way to keep the theme going. As a team of two we needed a few gentle nudges along the way and one big hint, reflecting back, it is unlikely we would have figured that bit out ourselves, but the room had some puzzles we’d not seen before and it’s easy to see why this room has done well. Great fun!
Outatime - Through the DecadesEscapableEscape roomIRLWe’ve done a couple of games here and always get great games masters who are enthusiastic about what they do. The set keeps on going for Outatime so there is lots to do and moments where it’s not always clear what you need elements for when you find them. That’s not a negative, just adds to the complexity of the puzzles and creates a really fun room with the potential for ‘penny drop’ moments. Doable with two people, you’ve just got to keep moving!
Escape the chocolate factoryEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe set is really quite something in this one with what feels like endless puzzles and personally created a real panic towards the end thinking we wouldn’t escape in time. We did, with a fun ending. Needed a little nudge along the way but managed to escape with a group of two, although one or two more on the team might have helped.
CurioEscapologic NottinghamEscape roomIRLAs a team of two, there is a LOT to do in this room but we were on a good roll and the first half of the room we whizzed through. The set is amazing, slightly low lighting in places and not the best of rooms if you have any form of motion sickness. Very cleverly put together room and a must do if you get chance.
Wrongfully ConvictedThe Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLOne of our favourite rooms of all time and so very different in terms of the rules which you follow of traditional escape rooms. I think this room will always be memorable for that reason. As a group of two, we really enjoyed this. Teams of 6, especially those with lots of experience might find there isn’t quite enough for everyone to feel like they’ve been able to fully participate but as a small group, it’s really good! A fair amount of fitness is needed as the room has the potential for needing to go up and down a staircase. The room is definitely not an accessible room but if those aren’t problematic then definitely have a go! You won’t be disappointed!
Operation Hideout - Jewel PursuitBeverley BreakoutEscape roomIRLFran, our games master is so warm and welcoming, we love coming back to Beverley Breakout. Lots of puzzles to get through but a really nice room to tackle.
MonumentsCave EscapeEscape roomIRLAn escape room in a cave! What more can you want? Not a damp cave though. The set is quite something and this room is a fair challenge as a group of two so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are semi experienced. There is an element of a tight space for one of the team and so choose wisely and eat lots of carrots beforehand. You’ll know why when you’ve done the room!
Arabian NightsEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA nice flow to the room, nothing too complicated but nice well thought out puzzles, lots of mag locks but that’s less fiddling around with locks so a nice change. Restrictive space in a couple of areas but good fun themed room.
