Packed into a dingy, like the can of mindless sardines we both know you are, you and a few of you closest chums set out for a day of fishing on the mystical waters of Louisiana. As you push away, one of the dock hand asks “What did one fish say to the other?” Shut your mouth and you won’t get caught.” Well accept that horrendous punchline as his advice for this not-so-typical, yet completely “typical” day of fun-filled recreation and ‘catch’-y tunes. You cast your line, kick back and take a deep breath in of that swampy-sulfuric stench. This is it! This is the time for relaxation. As the day winds down, you let the marsh take its course for an easy drift back to the dock. As you coast, a swampy haze consumes the boat as your eyes grow heavy and eventually clasp shut. When you wake, you are greeted by a devious swamp witch exclaiming her sorrow for you having crossed the barriers into her swampland. The chance of securing your fate lies somewhere between braving the enchanted waters and conquering the swamp witch to merit safe passage from Bloodshed Bayou.. So whether you’re only out here because you were dragged against your will, you’re an enthusiastic caster, or perhaps you’re just the one tasked to handle the gear- be sure to book a trip out to ‘catch’ yourself some of the eccentric views that these striking Louisiana wetlands have to offer! Just remain alert not to get ‘caught’, yourself..

The gameplay and environment were pretty solid which is not surprising since apparently The Escape Ventures designed and built this room. My biggest gripes are this: I heavily value immersion and how Locksmith handles game information (via an iPad that you carry around) does not do it any favors. There is no grand finale or big finish, the game ends rather abruptly. The temperature control is poor and it can get pretty hot. Final words: seems like The Escape Ventures were given a measly budget to make a room and they did the best they could with it.

Great atmosphere, smooth puzzle flow, some fun and challenging puzzles. It does get hot with no AC so prepare appropriately. Ending was anticlimactic and some puzzles could be tweaked to be stronger, but overall worth doing and is better than a lot of the other Orlando-area escape rooms (which is perhaps no surprise, being designed by Escape Ventures).
Loved 90% of the puzzles, and they were genuinely great with some giving a refreshing challenge. Not a huge fan of audio puzzles as it requires a bit of standing around. Would love more puzzles at the end.
Loved the props and scene. Felt very immersive. Some props could be upgraded to look less dollar-store.
Our GM was really nice! We did get unsolicited hints despite asking them not to, which made for a frustrating experience. They also do not seem too open to feedback, which I can understand.
Yes
The scenery is unique compared to most escape rooms.
Consistent story throughout, although it would be nice if it were a bit more engaging.
Hard
Some really nice puzzles that are difficult but not confusing.
High tech
a perfect mix of tech and mechanical.

Could also do this with 2.
Spooky
spooky theming but not scary at all.

An audio puzzle. Narrower spaces that may not be accessible to certain mobility disabilities.

If you go at night, it's going to be confusing because the mall is closed and you need to drive to the back. Just follow google maps and look for the lit up door with a sign.
Easy
Parking everywhere out back.

What an incredible room! I’m not surprised though, since it was created by The Escape Ventures very own designer’s! This room will have you feeling like you are smack dab in the middle of a Louisiana swamp at night. From the set, to the lighting and puzzles, this room is a must do! Run, don’t walk and PLAY THIS ROOM!

Wow, beautiful room, great games, very unique. But, air conditioning issue in the mall so room was TOO HOT. Couldn’t enjoy as much because of that.

The game was fun, the puzzles were solvable and the atmosphere was amazing! Be warned though: IT IS HOT. There’s no AC and this has apparently been an issue for 2 years that they’re just not trying to fix. If you come prepared with that in mind, it’s a nice, beautiful room! Though, it was hard getting into the room while I had to keep taking breaks to sit by the fan though. Bummer.

Ray to find if you read comments on here! Park near JC Penney or Dillards, head into the main mall, and it’s between Penney’s and Dillards.

This game was particularly challenging for our group of two. It was gorgeous inside and you can definitely tell escape ventures had their hands in this design 🌈❤️ It was a step above the rest in Orlando!

Great set. The room was built by Escape Ventures and you can tell. It’s another great room. Clean puzzle flow and fun.

Really enjoyed this room. My favorite at this location! The immersion is absolutely fantastic. The whole game really makes you feel like you’re there in a bayou. Interesting puzzles, nothing too complex but some have a unique spin to it. I enjoyed the start as there was no video or anything that tells you much background to start. We played with 4 and that felt like a good team size to work out the puzzles and communicate effectively.
