You have been unpacking for a week now as you continue to explore every nook and cranny in your new six-room house. You now understand why the locals were so weary of this house and always avoided it. There are however still some areas you have yet to fully search. One day as you were putting your groceries in the pantry for the first time, you notice a small crease in the wall. You put your hand up to the wall and realize it is actually an indentation. You grab your box cutter that you were just using and poke it right through the gaudy wallpaper that you wanted to replace anyway. You pull the blade across the wall. You hit a hard beam. You turn the blade downward and slice vertically to the floor. As you make the final cut through the wallpaper, the wall opens up and a doorway appears. Before you lies a small six-foot hallway with a door at the end of it. You walk six feet down the hallway to the door and grab the handle. It’s locked. You are glad because you’ve seen enough horror movies to know that you really didn’t want to know what was behind that door. With a sigh of relief, you turn around and walk back towards the kitchen. You take three steps forward, when an icy-cold wind blows right through you, taking the breath out of you. You stop in your tracks. You hear a loud creaking sound behind you. You turn around. The door is open. Again, you’ve seen enough horror movies to know that you shouldn’t so anywhere near that door. But, just as you – the Hardings – were called to this house, you are being called to this doorway. You physically can’t help it. You feel yourself being pulled to the doorway. You find yourself peering down into a dimly-lit basement. Again, you have seen enough horror movies to know that you don’t want to go down those stairs. But, yet again, you are physically pulled by some force down the stairs. The next thing you know you are standing on the cold concrete floor, staring up at the bright light emanating from the only way into and out of the basement. You feel the icy-cold wind again. The door slams shut and locks. The lights go out. You now find yourself trapped in the Seventh Room.

This room, while dressed well, reminds me a lot of pre-bought escape experiences. I’m not a big fan of excessive reading but this one is so dense in papers and books. I prefer more tactile, intuitive puzzles that don’t require me to keep my head down looking at a piece of paper, but looking up and around at the room, maintaining the immersion—which is another point dock for me. So many random signs required so puzzles are solvable and play functions properly. Not ideal.

I wanted to love this escape room after hearing so many good things about it. It was a rough experience because a few of the puzzles weren’t working as intended. That caused some frustrations in our group, but the staff was kind and friendly. They took a lot of time talking to us afterwards. The staff is great here. I just wish the puzzles in this room were a bit more reliable and clear.
Very welcoming staff. Super nice. Highly recommend

There were a lot of puzzles and some were unclear or broken. But if the ones that worked, they were very difficult

Unfortunately, one of the puzzles the marking we needed was rubbed off making it impossible to solve without a hint. Another one had the object misprinted so it was upside down (no way of us knowing without a hint)

Hints are given out of necessity as the room consistently does not contain enough information to solve some of the puzzles. Numerous pieces broken or not functional. A lot of puzzles that are tedious and unfun time sinks where you understand what to do but the actual act of doing it is something quite boring and uninteractive. Certain jump scares and scary moments, but the frustration and waiting around broke the immersion for 80% of the experience. On the bright side, the set dressing was nice, the staff were friendly, and I like the non-linear start. I think they could take the same puzzles and apply better design to improve the experience.
Being given hints on a screen as a necessity to solving some puzzles ruined some aspects of the experience. Having the team huddled around one person for extended periods of time as they apply the solution (easy to solve, time consuming to apply) makes for a boring experience. One of the last puzzles is just trial and error due to a factory misprint.
Props and environment were mostly well done!
GMs were very nice and welcoming.

Some unique player interactions.

Hard
Some hard puzzles, some time-consuming puzzles, and some unclear fumbling.

Nice mix of tech and mechanical.

We were way too crowded with 5. 3-4 would be ideal.
Scary
If operating well, I can see it being scary. There were scary moments, but the lack of momentum broke immersion and made it mostly not scary for our group.

This was the best room I’ve ever played by far, i’ve been searching for another game to replicate it. This game made me play every other room at this location in the same day! (lol)

One of the cooler rooms I’ve done in Orlando. I recommend checking it out. The room is immersive and engaging. Super fun experience
Puzzles were unique and inventive but some required some tedious skills with small pieces
Room was well themed. It wasn’t the most cohesive between the different rooms but that didn’t really draw away from the game
Staff was so incredibly personable

Wow, just wow. The Seventh Room was an incredible surprise. We knew nothing going in, and were absolutely blown away at what transpired within its wall. Atmosphere and set design is impeccable. The practical effects, sound, lighting and props are top notch. The mixture of haunted and paranormal is downright creepy and super effective. This game is FRIGHTENING. But most of all, fun! From a technical standpoint, The Seventh Room is an engineering marvel. We had a walkthrough of all its inner workings with our GM afterward and our jaws were on the floor at the sheer amount of brilliant work that went in to designing everything, and then on their side as GameMaster to make everything work seamlessly while we were playing it. I’ll reiterate, this room is intense and scary. Not stop your heart scary but, it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. The level of physical activity you will be involved with at different stages is wild, inventive, and fittingly frightening and sometimes disturbing. You want a totally unique, crazy experience? The Seventh Room may very well be unmatched in the state of Florida.

The Seventh Room was my first experience at D2E and it did not disappoint! I was a little hesitant to play this one due to its “spook” factor, but it wasn’t as scary as the storyline states. The puzzles were very unique, but boy was there a lot of ground to cover, especially during the first half of the experience. I definitely suggest a larger group to divide and conquer in this room. There were tricks in the game that tested your fears which I really enjoyed! I highly recommend this room for more experienced escape room enthusiasts who want a challenge! We had a great time!

Beautiful room! There was SO much to do and so many elements that interconnected it was almost overwhelming. There were multiple levels to this game so come prepared to be slightly active! One of the best rooms I’ve done! We had a small mishap in our room because of the game reset, but the staff was fantastic about it.
