7 Deadly Sins
Escapology Orlando FL
Escape room
IRL
This is the only room I’ve done at Escapology and that’s because we didn’t like it. Some of the puzzles required illogical leaps to complete them. My team (4 people) was frustrated and kinda bored. Atmosphere was okay but I think the room is ready to be retired.
Back to the Future: OUTATIME
Universal Studios Orlando
Escape room
IRL
My goodness, Universal. Way to take a brilliant idea and majorly fail at it. I really hope they listen to feedback and tweak this experience because it has potential. Pros: Beautiful rooms. Cool artifacts. Decent videos that play along for decent storytelling. Cons: Not possible to “escape” as you’re pushed through like it’s a line for a ride. Not enough time to take in the cool atmosphere. Started 45 mins late. Tech issues resulting in failure to complete puzzle. Repetitive puzzles making it feel poorly thought out. Horribly overpriced. Overall I cannot recommend this unless someone is a huge BTTF fan and just wants to look at the cool stuff they’ve put together. But an escape room or “escape adventure” as they call it, it is not.
Baldwin Manor
Escape Artists Orlando
Escape room

Some cool artistic elements and puzzles. A couple puzzles didn’t make a ton of sense until we got a clue but there were only 2 of us so maybe it was a lack of intelligence on our part. Enjoyed it overall.

This room wasn’t horrible but it was near the bottom for me. Some of the puzzles were good and some were just poorly thought out or illogical. I played with one other person. We had a hard time seeing some of the clues. We were on the last puzzle when time ran out but I solved it as the door opened so they said it counted but we technically didn’t escape. I think it’s a good thing they retired it for something new.
Doctor Lycan
A Harrowing Escape
Escape room
IRL
This location used to be called A Narrow Escape and when I went “A Narrow Escape” was still on the building which caused a little confusion but it’s such a similar name we just assumed it was the same place. We loved that they have a house cat! A rescue kitty that was properly chonky and ready for all the pets. You can bring your pets with you! But the room left a little to ge desired. I was with a friend and we joined stranger for this room. The puzzles were sometimes difficult to solve simply because they were illogical. One of the main mechanisms to a puzzle didn’t work for us so it was not possible to escape without help. Overall not a horrible experience but it wasn’t a great one.
Dr. Braingood
The Bureau Adventure Games
Escape room
IRL
Dr. Braingood was the first escape room I did at The Bureau. I enjoyed entering the building as it’s sorta like a speakeasy and the entrance is part of the experience. The game itself was well-thought out and the atmosphere was nice. Puzzles were good. You can order drinks including alcohol before going in. Cool little lounge area while waiting.
Jurassic World: Escape
Universal Studios Orlando
Escape room

Ugh. What a let down. There are some cool moments and the the atmosphere is rad (minus the anticlimactic ending that felt like it was gonna be amazing and was just sorta lackluster). Repetitive puzzles that were pointless. More time should be given to later rooms. This feels more like an interactive line to a ride than an escape room. Way overpriced and parking is nuts (because it’s at the theme parks). It’s also hella expensive to park. We got one free parking comp for a group of 6 so that was an additional cost. Just overall disappointing. They needed to do more testing. The timing is way off.
Lab at Loch Ness
The Bureau Adventure Games
Escape room
IRL
Lab at Loch Ness is super cute. Teams are separated into two groups at the start which I really enjoyed - because of this, I recommend at least 4 people play. The two groups meet up again later in the experience. The puzzles don’t use traditional locks and I appreciate the detail and thought that goes into rooms that don’t use locks. The ending is satisfying. Enjoyed playing and highly recommend.
Mission: Mars
The Escape Game
Escape room
IRL
Overall a decent room but one of the mechanics didn’t work properly and we wasted a lot of time on it. There are some cool elements though and staff is always friendly. Would recommend for a small group.
Mission Unstoppable: Chopper Down
Lockbusters Escape Game
Escape room
IRL
This is a really cool-looking room! Staff was great but we had so many issues we couldn’t enjoy it. Two of the puzzles just didn’t work. At all. One of them was so old you couldn’t see the clues. Even the game master couldn’t see them. The other was a mechanical error we spent about 15 mins on and it was just broken. I wish we had gotten the full experience because it was a cool room but needs a lot of maintenance. It may be fixed now because we played a few months ago.
