Crane Manor
Clue IQ
Escape room
IRL
Wow just wow! This was my 4/4 Clue IQ room and boy did I save the best for last!! Typically I complete rooms in duos but finally I could wrangle up a squad of 4 so we decided to tackle this room - also mind you, we all had trepidation over the slight horror theme of this room. Long story short, the 75 mins of the room, the awesome theme, and wonderful design blew us all away :) My siblings, who are quite the escape room critics said no one room will match up to how great this room was! Additionally my brother said this - THIS is what I’ve THOUGHT escape rooms would be like but had never experienced until now. But more on the room - we would recommend 4/6 as the ideal amount for maximum gameplay. The puzzles were plentiful and fun - while they’re challenging, we were able to return to them at later points and solve them with no problem - which is always fun and reassuring! The multi-linear pathways and approaches Clue IQ is known for is always appreciative and so brilliantly done - bravo. The space was deceptively incredible! The manor is such a fun theme that’s conceals so much left to be discovered. While we had hunches and suspicions, for things to be revealed later on was so deliciously satisfying in the gameplay. Also, there was for once the RIGHT balance mixture of keys/locks with props and aesthetics - it was refreshing to bounce back and forth naturally and get your fix of both in such a fun and positive way. Kudos to Clue IQ, seriously! Almost done here….. I’ve never been in a room with so many jump scares - it was HILARIOUS to see and hear everyone in our party squeal at various points throughout the game (me included). They truly were authentic, unsuspecting, and original. These moments were so well thought out and greatly planned! Lastly, before CM, my favorite room was Excalibur here at Clue IQ. While I still love the latter, Crane Manor now has overtaken it. I so highly recommend this establishment and appreciate all that they offer to this local community and my beloved state. I’m only say that I’ll never get to experience this room for the first time ever again!

This was a top 5 room for us - thorough, riveting, and complete! Great puzzles, surprises, and set design. The perfect amount of complexity, rigor, and difficulty for two people. Experienced several new and different puzzles 🧩.

Cyber Raccoon Escape Room

Room lived up to its great reputation! Having a small team also presented some challenges due to the unique gameplay and design. Overall, fun and great experience. Awesome reveals, props, and surprises; especially the ending. The hint system was also signature and authentic. Highly recommend!!

The Speakeasy was a wonderful experience! Many creative puzzles 🧩 and surprises throughout. The game flowed extremely well and was naturally intuitive. We actually were the most successful in this room! Highly recommend.

Great design, great theme, and overall great room! The room was challenging but not difficult and had some non-linear elements that made the gameplay fun for our party. Would definitely recommend!

Ravenchase: Escape Room Herndon
Escape room
IRL
While acknowledging just how highly rated this room is amongst various escape room communities, we were so thrilled to try our luck in this space; overall, this room was fantastic! But, this wasn't our top-5 favorite for several reasons. First, despite technically being an 80s baby, many of the references just didn't stick. They were fun, novel, and we can totally appreciate that - but we simply didn't know what half of the stuff were lol. Second, I think those references carried into solving of specific puzzles. We did love and appreciate how diverse and tactile some of them were; but because we were caught up on not knowing what we were not knowing what to look/get/understand - it all just felt confusing. We'll admit (because we played 3 games that day), this was a rough day for us in-game, so we needed hints and struggled, but the props, accessories, and design was very fun. Kinda wish we got to see the bonus room...
Magician's Workshop

This room was truly outstanding! The theme was exceptional; so many tricks were awesome and things we hadn’t seen despite playing several magic rooms. It was simply fun! Highly recommend. Top 3 rooms in the area.
Gold Rush
The Escape Game
Escape room
IRL
This was a very fun room! We had more success here despite the increased difficulty than the playground. It is more linear, but the puzzles are also more fun and traditional in the escape room sense. Checks all the boxes of a great room!
Playground
The Escape Game
Escape room

Playground was my favorite TEG room out of 5 games despite us not even winning. It may be bias due to being an elementary school teacher, but the set design was perfect and the nostalgia of puzzles 🧩 and activities was so fun. The teamwork and cooperative exercises are rewarding and surprises are endless. It flows well and the multi-linear pathways allows you to choose your own adventure!
Operation Jingle Bells
Clue IQ

Typically, we wouldn’t be interested in holiday-themed rooms but we just knew Clue IQ would deliver, just like they always do! This room was extremely fun, witty, and a surprise. The puzzles 🧩 were great, the theme was engaging, and the difficulty was the perfect balance for our team of 2.
