“I played this room with my 12 year old son and 3 others we didn’t know and had a great time. There was a variety of puzzles both intellectual and physical that made this room interesting to the older people in the room and the kids. Well done.”

“Great room. The theming was done very well, an exciting take on the classic FBI/CIA themed rooms. Great use of technology and exciting puzzles. Would definitely recommend especially for those trying out escape rooms for the first time.”

“This is a one of a kind experience. Not only must you solve puzzles (at least 2 I have never encountered before) you must strategically plan attacks and defenses against your opponents. Very exciting and quite challenging. The staff were able to explain the rules (it is a little more in depth than your average escape room) and were extremely friendly! We were on the fence about doing this room. I am so glad we did it and want to recommend to anyone who loves escape rooms and is looking for something different. Has a high tech feel but doesn't rely solely on the "bells and whistles" - puzzles flowed and made perfect sense.”

“This is one of my new favorites from TEG. I personally enjoyed how linear this game was and how innovative and dynamic the design of the gameplay and environments were. As a puzzle lover, this one shines bright as the newest release from TEG and makes me very anxious to see where the next design goes!”

“This room was so much fun. We only played it with two people which made the room much harder. Highly recommend you bring more people. A few weaker puzzles, but overall this room was a blast to play and featured a lot of very unique puzzles”

“We played Special Ops in a group of five with two experienced players and three that have never played any rooms prior. It was very immersive and was a great time for everyone. The story was engaging and puzzles gave everyone something to do.”

“This was the hardest room at this location. I really enjoyed the gameplay of the room, but it is a very mechanically based room. A few puzzles don’t fit into the room theme very well, but overall the puzzles are unique and challenging. Communication is a huge factor in succeeding in this room as you do start split up. The story is a little weird, but it works. Overall, I recommend this room to more experienced players looking for more of a challenge.”

“This one is really good! Super immersive. Very high tech. If you love escape games where it is less find the combination to open a lock and more the solve this puzzle to activate another part (like Indy Jones style) then this is the one for you !”

Remember those point-and-click adventure games where you’re locked in a room and have to solve puzzles to find the key and escape? Those online games were the original inspiration for the live escape rooms you’ll find all across the world today. An escape room is an immersive experience where you (and your team of 2 or more people) are locked in a room with a series of puzzles for 60 minutes. To escape and win the game, you have to look for clues, solve the puzzles, and find the key. While most escape rooms only give you 60 minutes to complete the challenge, others may have shorter or longer time limits. Many venues are private rooms where you and your team are the only players. However, some places may pair you with other groups who booked a slot at the same time. And don’t worry about getting stuck, asking for hints on a difficult puzzle is totally normal. While the original escape room (created by SCRAP in 2007) had a fairly simple aesthetic, today’s escape games often take you into a different world. Artistic set designs, secret doors, and unique interactive elements are all part of the fun. It’s like an adventure game that you can interact with in real life. But if you’re hoping to preview any rooms before you book a game somewhere, detailed images and videos can be hard to find. To keep the puzzles a secret and preserve the experience of seeing the room for the first time, most venues only offer a few photos or a short trailer about the room’s theme or narrative. The only way to know what it’s like is to go and try it for yourself!
